Re: Can't select correct audio input (Alesis Master Control)
What version of Windows? What three-digit version number of Audacity (see Help > About Audacity)? Whatever version of Audacity, you must be able to select the Firewire Device itself in Devices Preferences. It sounds as If you can do that, but if it is not there or not showing correctly, exit Audacit...

Re: Stereo Mix Problem
It's a long shot, but check that "Software Playthrough" is not selected (near the bottom of the Transport menu). Naw, thats not selected. Its deffo not a setting on Audacity as i tried a different program and the same happened so it has to be a setting elsewhere but no idea where. Sound d...

Re: Audacity crashes with vst-enabler.so in plugins folder
It still is not working, i even tried version 1.3.3. I still want to use a vst plugin. (and what do you do if the vst plugin is a .dll?) Which VST plug-in do you want to use exactly, and where is that plug-in? If you have dll's in any of the folders the Enabler looks in, that could even be the prob...

Re: Recording from Stereo Mix
What exactly is "Realtek Digital Output" - a separate output jack on the computer? I believe if you set the Default Device under "Playback" to "Speakers - Realtek HD Audio" it may record. I have set it to "LISTEN" to Realtek HD Audio. Generally speaking you do...

Re: Audacity crashes with vst-enabler.so in plugins folder
i am using version 1.2.6 Please post in the correct Forum. I've moved the topic to the 1.2 Forum. i have NO vst plugins in those folders or in the plug-ins folder. All i did was add the vst-enabler.so to the plugins folder. Do you want VST plug-in support in Audacity? The only other place the Enabl...

Re: 1.3 Where do I choose the source
The TV programme is from a website Please do not start new topics for the same question, and definitely not in different forums. Please post *one* topic in the Forum for the version of Audacity you are using. Are you on Audacity 1.3, as suggested here, or on 1.2 according to your other topic ? When...

Re: Timer question
I would like to make an 8 hour recording without ending up with one huge file at the end. Is it possible to use the timer to set a series of 1 hour recordings? No, but why would you want to risk missing something in the recording by stopping and restarting? It's better to record the whole eight hou...

Re: Recording from Stereo Mix
If you click those "Exclusive Mode" boxes and select "Windows DirectSound" for Audacity "Host" then as I understand it, that renders "Default Format" irrelevant. Audacity will request the sample rate of the card according to the Audacity project rate. No resam...

Re: Audacity crashes with vst-enabler.so in plugins folder
Whenever i try and put the vst enabler in the plugins folder, and start audacity. it takes a long time to start, will not activate or show a window, and it took 3 tries to get it to force quit. And it has no effects when i start it otherwise, why is it doing this? Mac 10.3.9, ppc g3. What version o...
