Re: URGENT CANT OPEN ZIPPED FOLDER

My friend sent me a folder which is compressed as to take up less space on yahoo mail. The folder is actually 170+MB but she compressed it into 5KB.. That's impossible. There is no way to compress 170 MB of audio data into 5 KB. Sorry My bad! I meant a 300MB file compressed into a 170MB file. Right...

Re: Audacity Crash, lost hours of work

Sorry you had a problem. Audacity Beta can be very slow when doing cuts, silences and other operations that don't have an explicit progress dialogue, or when zooming or fitting long projects to the window. The first problem could be improved somewhat in the next 1.3.14 Beta. If you force quit when A...

Re: Recording PC Audio along with Mic Audio

no communications tab, im on vista OK, it does seem that feature (which turns down other sounds when "communications activity" is detected) is not on a "Communications" tab in Vista, and may only be in Windows 7. It would have explained your issue. What version of Audacity are y...

Re: Audacity on intel Imac

Sample rate mismatches and/or 1.2 not being fully compatible with modern external devices. I suggest you read this and upgrade to 1.3.13.

Re: Audacity crashes with vst-enabler.so in plugins folder

im trying to use killerringer, and it makes no difference weather or not i have it in any of those folders (but it might not think that a .dll file is anything). Audacity still crashes if i have the vst-enabler in the plugin folder. Killeringer is for Windows and a dll file. Isn't a dll file what y...

Re: 1.3 Where do I choose the source

I asked a very simple question: I want to record the sound from a tv programme, but I cannot find out where I choose the source We can't help you unless you are prepared to read the replies you have already received and answer the questions we've asked you: 1 What version of Audacity are you using ...

Re: Recording PC Audio along with Mic Audio

I'm not dumb. I've already tried that. If you read what i said, when i have my input device disabled and i record system audio its fine, but when i enable to my input device it lowers the system audio in the recording. If you read what you said, you just said "system audio is real quiet"....
