Re: Amplification in the last release of Audacity
The current Audacity release is 2.1.2 http://www.audacityteam.org/download/windows/ . Always obtain Audacity there. Audacity supplied by us has never had a "remember this value" box in Amplify, but I moved this topic to Adding Features so your vote can be counted. You can always use Effect...

Re: Is there the multi-select?
Moved to "Adding Features" (if you want to vote for being able to select in multiple places left to right along the Timeline).
But is this what you want? If you import multiple files you can apply an effect in one go at the same selection in all the tracks.

Re: low volume, only names appear - no content
There is a difference between saving an Audacity project and exporting. Exporting an audio file is the only way to hear the audio in other applications. You don't open audio files in Audacity, you import them into an Audacity project. Clicking X on the track closes the track. It does not save the co...

Re: vocal remover
As you can see from http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/tuto ... ation.html you may not be able to remove vocals unless they are in the middle of the stereo field. If it is a popular song you may be able to buy a karaoke version of the song or find it on YouTube.

Re: Not recording in stereo
If speakers connected to the turntable give left only then the RCA cable is broken or the unit or the speakers are broken. Buy another cable to experiment. To connect the RCA cable to the blue Line In of the computer you need a stereo RCA to stereo 1/8 inch TRS adaptor. You can buy this online or a ...

Re: Fade Out
Drag-select the area of the waves you want to fade out using your mouse, then Effect > Fade Out (assuming you want a simple uncustomizable fade out).
Audacity ships with MP3 import support, but not MP3 export support, due to licensing issues.

Re: DIgitech RP360XP USB
To be clear, there is no "alpha patch" for Audacity. There are alpha builds of our development code: http://gaclrecords.org.uk/win-nightly/ but most of those are ZIP files (not EXE installers). If you are downloading alpha builds of Audacity from anywhere else they are not official and cou...

Re: Post Noise removal- Rushing Sound in Vocals
The guide you provided is what I used to get to this point. The hiss of the space heater has already been removed. If there is something in this guide that tells me how to isolate the sound when I am speaking, im not seeing it. You have to use appropriate settings as described on the page. Noise Re...

Re: Audacity cannot see Zoom G2Nu USB pedal
Your topic is very specific so I started a new topic for you. That is almost always better than jumping into someone else's old topic. Does Windows Sound see the Zoom on your 64-bit computer? If not, Audacity is not going to see it either. Make sure on your 64-bit computer that you have installed bo...
