Re: Export to WAV Libsndfile error
Had exact same error on 1.3.13-beta. Couldnt save to existing file to same or any other filename as WAV format, MP3 etc was fine. Used the "Getting The Job Out In Time" approach to copy audio data to new track in new project and it saved correctly. Was there any absolute silence in the pr...

Re: Rev r11212 Error on make
rev r11210 compiled fine on my Xubuntu 10.04.2 32bit system. Today's rev r11212 stops the "make"-process ... I updated ffmpeg yesterday from 4:0.7 to 4:0.8 from here "https://launchpad.net/~jon-severinsson/+archive/ffmpeg", so this could be responsable too for the error message ...

Re: Audit trail
My I T Security department is trying to to better understand the login architecture and audit capabilities of Audacity. Because our PC's are encrypted, I T needs to know the following. 1. Does Audacity require an unique user ID to log onto the application? No. Once the user is logged into the opera...

Re: How to change the language
I've just installed Audacity and have been trying to follow an Audacity-Lame tutorial for creating mp3 files. However the tutorial with all its screen shots is in English and Audacity appears in Hebrew on my computer. That creates considerable difficulties since the screen shots in English do not m...

Re: Audacity - no sound on playback (Ubuntu AND Windows)
Audacity does not record computer playback unless a sound device exists on the computer that can do so. See http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Recording_audio_playing_on_the_computer for solutions including Pulse Audio Volume Control on Ubuntu. If you still have difficulties recording computer playba...

Re: Logitech headset not recognized by Audacity
Even if the Mac recognised the Logitech, 1.2 Audacity hardly ever does until you set the Logitech up at Applications > Utilities > Audio MIDI Setup.

Re: Audacity hangs when loading MP3
I click the icon, the program launches normally, after I see the main window I notice the CPU usage go up. The welcome screen and everything that is supposed to show up shows up normally. I did minor changes to Audacity preferences, namely setting a custom tmp folder, check if it points to valid li...

Re: Playback while recording stopped working
Does this give you any clue to a cause and a solution? No. :? The nearest (fixed) issue like it that we had in a previous Beta was desynchronised playback of multiple tracks if the project rate (bottom left of the window) didn't match with the track sample rate (above the mute/solo buttons). But ce...

Re: Audacity 1.2.6 - Citrix
The computer has Windows CE more a client Ica ( Citrix). There is a sound card. Audacity does not support Windows CE . Audacity needs a sound card on the computer it is running on. There is no guarantee at all with any kind of remote serving or virtualisation that you will get sound into Audacity. ...
