Re: very confused

Unfortunately it's possible 1.2.6 will crash when you press Stop after recording, If this happens a lot, you could try 1.3.10 Beta . That version is reported not to have the issue that it only offers mono for some devices. It should not crash when recording but does have various other bugs. If I'm u...

Re: wav invalid format?

I used to be able to record songs, save them in mp3 format, convert the file to wav format (under XP Pro OS), and then open the .wav file in another program. Now, under Windows 7, I can record, but can't open/play any new files I save in .wav format. However, I can still open/play the old .wav file...

Re: SLIDESHOW SOFTWARE TO SYNCH. WITH AUDACITY IN A MAC

Just for the courtesy of answering, I doubt you will find an equivalent. See: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/2794562?start=0&tstart=0 If making a slideshow in FLV or SWF format doesn't meet your needs, install Windows on the Mac then run Windows under Boot Camp: http://www.apple.com/suppor...

Re: Audacity crashing and shutting down Windows 7...

I'm going to look into updating the ATI driver, but why would that affect exporting my session from Audacity? Because Audacity works the video drivers and the CPU quite hard to show you the waveform, and unlike other programs uses the audio device too. If the problem only occurs when you use Audaci...

Re: Cannot record at all in Windows 7!

I can't use the .mp3 because it is not downloadable. I explained it wrong. It's embedded in a video. There are lots of ways to get the MP3 out of the video. You can extract and import the audio into Audacity simply by installing FFmpeg . All you need to do then is drag the video file into Audacity....

Re: very confused

Gale - It's Audio-Technica AT-LP60-USB...very inexpensive but came w Audacity 1.2.6 which i upgraded to the 1.3 Beta version. I really just wanted it to convert albums. I did discover that exporting them into My Music as .WAV files seems to work a lot better; it actually downloaded the album cover ...

Re: Audacity 1.3.14 beta

Ms Word has the red [X] close button which is for the whole application but beneath that, next to the little search engine there is a smaller blue one which only closes the document that is being viewed or clicked on. Like Audacity projects, every document has its own little search engine and its o...

Re: Missing Data on .aup and exported .mp3

Glad you were able to recover the recording. I found the Show Log option and was able to find what appears to be all of the part files. For some reason they were not saved in the normal temp files folder, they were saved in the folder that I exported the messed up .mp3 to. For all I know, that may b...
