Re: mic auto adjust problems? windows vista
I just want to add that unchecking "allow applications to take exclusive control" can in some case create problems with sound quality. Unchecking does mean that you don't absolutely have to choose an Audacity project rate that your sound device supports, but it also means that if that proj...

Re: Recording onto a laptop
It's windows 7. I thought maybe it was the speed of the Hard drive? If the sound device has a speed issue this will show up as the recording of a note or phrase taking longer than it does when you are singing or playing, as well as it sounding dull or muffled. It's also true that sample rate discre...

The blue is line-in. Don't you want to send the recording (minus the playback) to line-in? What i'm trying to do,...

Re: INPUT VOLUME...SOUND CARD??
It would have been better if you could have continued your original topic: http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=57884 than start a new one. You can right-click over the loudspeaker icon where the clock is > Recording Devices. That takes you to the "Recording" tab of "...

Re: Recording onto a laptop
Hey guys, trying to record onto a laptop, from a good mixer... all the levels are set correctly and all that. Problem is, when playing-back, the recording goes from normal, and then the music sounds very flat and/or dull, then goes back to normal, and keeps doing this. What version of Windows - Vis...

Re: Recording while listening to previous tracks (not workin
Hey guys, i'm not amazing with Audacity... and i've run into a bit of a problem... My band in trying to record some demo's, so when we actually are in the studio, it's easier for the engineer to hear and do whatever. Problem... say we track guitar, then we try and track drums while listening to the...
