Re: Export WAV in chain changes bit rate
You have identified my problem. The wav files are 8bit (mono, 11025Hz). I would be grateful for a link to the patched version (I doubt you could email the program it to me if it is the same size as the unpatched version because the attachment would be too large for my email server). Or perhaps you ...

Re: VST Plugins? What are they?
I'm not sure of what effects are default in Audacity so under the Effects section I'm not immediately aware of what's changed as I had no idea what was there to start with. As shipped, Audacity has 24 effects above the divider in the Effect menu and 20 underneath (these latter are in the "Plug...

Re: All posts moderated?
I understand that but are you saying this is a permanent state? Often when I post a question I'm a bit impatient as it's usually related to some project that's on a deadline and having to wait for every post to be approved sounds like a concern. It doesn't create any significant delay. All your que...

Re: VST Plugins? What are they?
I recently installed a Cakewalk product that I'm returning and noticed that Audacity is now suddenly loading VST plugins every single time it loads. Is there a default location that audio apps look for these and what sort of things do they provide for? How can I peruse them to see if they're possib...

Re: Recovering lost audio files
If you have a problem, please explain what it is. If there is an error opening the project, what does the error say? Please note, the .aup file you attached is truncated. Audacity will not open that. If you have the .aup complete but cannot open it, try replacing all the instances of "Ścieżka&q...

Re: Recording at 24bit appears to be 16 bits padded to 24bit
Any chance it will be fixed? Not until after Audacity 2.0, and even then, the one Audacity developer who expressed an interest in it isn't active any longer. If you are really concerned you could join the PortAudio mailing list and ask them directly about this restriction. If they fixed it we would...

Re: Simple Batch Processing?
I suspect you are not double-clicking Change Tempo in the "Select Command" window so as to add it to the "Command" box so you could then edit its parameters. Only selecting the command has no effect. If you click "Edit Parameters" with no command loaded then you will ge...

Re: How do I uncompress audio file?
I just installed Audacity and when I open an audio file on my computer that I need to transcribe it zooms through in less than 2 seconds even though the recording is actually about an hour long. I am new to this and cannot figure out how to fix this so that I can listen to the file. Someone please ...
