Re: Windows 7: Unable to export files as .mp3
I am using Windows 7. I was going to export my files to .mp3 but it asks me to install LAME. After installing LAME, I still cannot export to .mp3, while the exported file is somekind of "unknown type" file which has no file extensions. I follow the instructions on the page : http://manual...

Re: The tracks will be mixed down to two stereo channels?
Every time I try to export a 2 track file as an mp3 in the Audacity 1.3 Beta, it says "The tracks will be mixed down to two stereo channels in the exported file". I have Lame_v3.98.3 for Windows installed, yet it won't export a two track file as an mp3, but it will export 1 track files as...

Re: Making radio edits of songs
I would rather download the acapella (version with only vocals), remove the offensive words, then combine it with the instrumental. Problem is I cannot figure out how to do this correctly. I tried "import", but "import audio" is not clickable The only legitimate reason File > Im...

Re: erreur: not well-formed (invalid token) at line ...

Re: Unable to open mp3 or mp4 files with latest Audacity
I have updated my wife's laptop with Audacity 1.3.13 and FFmpeg 0.6.2. We are unable to open mp3 or mp4 files. We don't get any error messages when we open the files but only get flat line in the channel window. I tried the 1.3.14 alpha version but get the same result. Everything worked with the 1....

Re: Accidentally Deleted Track... And saved.
So, I just was in an interview with someone which I recorded. I was going through it and did save the file, but then since I am new to audacity when I was closing, I pressed the x on the track and deleted (thinking it was already saved). My real mistake was when closing the program and prompted to ...

Re: Selecting track
Interesting. Having a warning when enabling the box is one solution we considered, but it sounds as if a warning on quitting the program might be an alternative.wuzzle wrote:It was an accident. I saw it, but thought: 'I'll correct it later'. And then I forgot to.

Re: Is is possible to record directly from Panasonic recorde
the player is stereo and the computer is mono It's very unlikely a line-in (blue) port would be mono, if that is what Carolyn was connecting to as she said. Backing up the recordings to at least two of a) the computer hard drive b) offline storage on the internet c) an external USB drive will be mu...
