Re: Changing information on wav files created.
See http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/WAV#Metadata You can use AIFF or FLAC (if you upgrade to Audacity 1.3.13 Beta) to export lossless files with full metadata. Some programs will let you add metadata whatever the file format but for WAV files that metadata will be specific to the player - other pl...

Re: I cannot record? What am i doing wrong?
You could try running a 1/8 inch stereo to 1/8 inch stereo cable from audio out on the computer (usually green) to line-in.ShuriiX wrote:Is there anything else i could test line-in on?

Re: Help with Multi-Stream .ogg Please =)
Thanks for the files. I confirm Audacity just does nothing on opening the list of streams from the longer file. VLC won't play that longer file. I tried an old Foobar version 1.0.2.1 and the current 1.1.7. They behave oddly with that longer OGG, hanging first time, but second time opening the file a...

Re: Audio Breakup with 1.3.8
Did you do the recording after 11:03 hours, if so is the project still open? There are no write or other errors in the log that are pertinent. I think the actual project you recorded into (.aup and _data folder) would be much more useful so we can match the .au files with the timeline. If you don't ...

Re: no tags are exported for WAV files
So, is there any other "lossless" audio format for CD players that supports my requirements with tags? I know, I'm asking the same question and seem not to listen ... DVDoug has now answered you about CD-Text. If you want to see the metadata in a back-up copy of the CD contents stored on ...

Re: Simplifying Audacity
Is there a way to also include the "data directory" and the lame MP3 and ffmpeg Libs? The manual seems to say that the paths of the Libs are stored within the prefs-file - would be great if the data directory will also be availlable on first startup of a session thet ist downloaded with t...

Re: Simplifying Audacity
As far as I understand... we can include this folder into our download-package and on the computer, where Audacity is downloaded, Audacity will use the .cfg-File insider the "Portable Settings" folder instead of creating a new one. Am I right? On each launch Audacity will look first for a...

Here is the code I used to correctly display your previous message above -
If wmpnetwk.exe still runs even when you are set not to share, I would suggest running MSCONFIG. This will save you having to manual...

Re: Help with Multi-Stream .ogg Please =)
I don't know about whether there is a limit to the number of streams, I'm afraid. I see no comment in the code about it, other than a comment that only the first logical stream is opened (which is only still true for Audacity 1.2). If no other programs will read these files they could be corrupted. ...
