Re: Lame
I'm currently running Audacity version 1.2.6. In that case please post in the correct 1.2 Forum where I have now moved this to. Also please don't post the same question twice with different wording. I deleted your duplicate post. I'm having trouble importing the Lame.dll plug-in into Audacity. I've...

Re: Real newbie help
I just installed Audacity. I have a number of mp3s that I have obtained from numerous sources. Some were downloaded from the web, some were ripped from CDs and others were recorded many years ago from cassettes using a cassette player or walkman and a patch cord. I suggest you try reading the Manua...

Re: Audacity semi-frozen after long recording session
If the yellow Stop button is active, try clicking it. If not, you can try and unfreeze Audacity at File > Exit. This may get Audacity out of its freeze and make it offer you the "Save Changes?" dialogue to save a project. Cancelling that dialogue might also let you continue normally. Obvio...

Re: Changing information on wav files created.
Thanks. The only problem is that I need to be able to play the files in iTunes and I don't think FLAC can. iTunes can play AIFF. I don't know any workable solution on Windows to get iTunes to play FLAC files. On Mac, I think Fluke works quite well. For Windows you can export FLAC from Audacity in a...
Re: Timer
What I am asking for is to be able to do in Timer Record mode all the things I can do in normal record mode I think your vote has been counted already :) . I still say it's nothing directly to do with this topic, which is about accessing menus to turn a manual recording into a scheduled one, or mak...

I'm not convinced the amount of resources used by 1.2 are necessarily anything to do with the crashes, but possibly the scrolling is. We're not developing 1.2 any more so it's history.
