Re: Projects and Tracks
I have downloaded some audio books that have several individual tracks under the same title. Can anybody help me with putting them all in one folder under that title. I have looked in the help section but don't seem to be able to tie things all together. Or will I be stuck with having to listen to ...

Re: I can't export to my PC
It asks me if I have enough space on my disc (even though I have 400 gb) and it says "Libsndfile says:" followed by "á;1õ" or something like that. I've tried different formats and different locations, but I can't save my WAV file. :? This happens even if I only have one recordin...

Re: Intermittent Recording Dropouts with Tascam US 122
I can rig up something to run a continuous tone over the mic, say about 5 minutes? Yes between 5 and 10 minutes would seem sensible. Let me know how to change the blocksizes in Audacity and what values you recommend, under and over and I'll try. There are many ways to do this. I think the simplest ...

Re: AAC export
If you are trying to losslessly loin two raw aac streams, then you need some other tool, possibly use FFmpeg standalone at the command line using some combination of concat and -acodec copy, or possibly SoX . Or look at http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/how_to_edit_aac_mp4_audio_page_3.cfm . I...

Re: Possible bug - Exported wav file corrupt
Here's the original sound files. Thanks. Not sure why Edgar gets different results, but there is no problem with the "hit10x.wav" imported on its own - that exports normally. The "TauntPack_2578.wav" is the one that causes the problem - imported on its own into a clean project t...

Re: AAC export

Re: Are there directions somewhere for the Easy Vocoder effe
I'm working with Audacity 1.3.12 beta It would be a good idea to upgrade. 1.3.13 has a year's worth of bug fixes... I'm wondering if there are directions somewhere for the Easy Vocoder effect plug-in? I already found the instructions for the original Vocoder effect, but a few months ago I installed...

Re: Sys 7 and volume mixer question
All the volume sliders are at max: firefox, audacity, all the control panel sliders. Including the Audacity input slider and the system input slider ("Recording" tab of "Sound")? Can't get the volume above 0.50 (usually 0.25) in the audacity waveform tracks. Actually, 0.5 (-6 dB...

Re: Intermittent Recording Dropouts with Tascam US 122
Thanks, Bob - you got the zip organised with the .aup, _data folder and log, and posted the link. That makes things easier. Have you ever had a dropout that actually causes your words to be lost? The glitch in the current project just after 1:36 and the one in the previous project at about 4 minutes...

Crash importing files from Unicode paths
A user has reported a bug in 1.3.13 on an unknown version of OS X where opening an MP3 file in the Finder from a directory that contains Chinese characters makes Audacity crash. An example of a reported path that fails is ~/Desktop/China/Mandarin/Methods/BLCU/汉语十日通·练习册_1/a.mp3. There is no problem w...
