Re: Recording Cutting out during playback
This is not an uncompressed, external file; it is still an AUP file, so my dependencies don't have anything to do with it. I think my problem may be the E-MU set-up, which seems to have some compatibility issues with Windows 7. Most likely it's a sample rate problem; The Audacity project rate, E-MU...

Re: Simplifying Audacity
May be there is a possibility for a little donation as soon as the customer paid. All donations are welcomed, thanks! I understood that the only versions I can use with simplified language .mo files are the nightly builds - am I right? No. The ability to hide menus if "!" is in the .po fi...

Re: Export to WAV Libsndfile error
It sure would be nice to have a broken project to test! Obviously, something is going wrong, but without some way of reproducing the problem, it is next to impossible to pin it down. If you still have the broken Project (and the time/desire) I would like a chance to inspect it. Edgar, I have a brok...

Re: Are there directions somewhere for the Easy Vocoder effe
Per the text in my last post, I included the sample with the music at the end as "...a sample of the type of Vocoder effect that I'm trying to get close to." Sorry if I misunderstood, but that sample included music. If it had just been a voice it would have been clear. Voice vocoded with ...

Re: Occasional Crash
Please read http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/Directories_Preferences#Audio_cache before enabling audio cache. It is a possible source of crashes unless you have a lot of RAM and your computer manages it efficiently, which was why I thought haelen might have it enabled. The crashes are more likely ...

Re: MP3 files lack data
I'm not sure if that was two label close together (in that case you would get your intended audio with an extra miniscule file), or a minuscule region label (probably you dragged it slightly with the arrow handles, in which case you will get a miniscule file instead of the intended one). A good way ...

Re: DVD audio ripper
Since this is a Windows machine (he said in his usual idiosyncratic way), what's wrong with Recording What's Playing On Your Computer? It's real time capture, but it does work. http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Recording_audio_playing_on_the_computer Koz Nothing wrong, except slight loss of quality...

Re: "reference to invalid character number at line 6"
Moved to the 1.3 Beta board because the issue occurred in 1.3.11. THANK YOU! That worked! Any suggestions as to how to avoid this problem in the future? Avoida using non-alphanumeric characters in the names. That means no spaces, no accents, no punctuation, no weird characters... Stick to A-Z and 0...

Re: Simplifying Audacity
Can I use the same .mo-file for mac and windows-versions? Means: I edit the mac .mo to get a simplified version of the menus (there will be nothing left than "export" and "quit"). Can I then use the same file for the windows-version or do I have to do everything again on the win...

Re: Lion Finder .au Files
This is the structure of Snow Leopard and it's fairly common. Is it common? FFmpeg installs by default to /usr/local/lib/audacity. That can certainly have permissions problems (and will eventually be changed) but it was your choice to put FFmpeg where you did, surely? So are you keeping the audacit...
