Re: Intermittent Recording Dropouts with Tascam US 122
Ok, I imported 13 minutes of pre recorded music from my library. Between 0 and 30 seconds in I noticed 3 unrepeatable glitches, all was fine until the last 40 seconds when I noticed 2 more. And, not to Gale. I did change the block sizes as instructed. Yes, but what output device is selected in Devi...

Re: Trying to Record a Mix from Serato Scratch Live
If you are really using Audacity 1.2, try 1.3.13 Beta (works on OS X 10.4 or later).
It's not very likely to help directly, but if you are on OX 10.6 or 10.7, 1.2 is not very stable.

Re: Recording with Multiple USB Mics
Was just posting same time as Steve, so I'll let my words go (as below). I know people report device aggregation works with Garage Band e.g. combining two 16-input devices to make a 32-channel device. @ Steve, is the input of the multiple USB mics on Linux mixed down to stereo? I tried the "loo...

Re: Sys 7 and volume mixer question
In my sys 7 home premium the stereo mixer is labeled volume mixer. I doubt that very much. By "stereo mix" I mean the name of an input device that is designed for recording computer playback. It may also be called "what U Hear", "Sum", "Wave out" or something...

Re: Export to WAV Libsndfile error
Thanks for your tests. I had not previously bothered to test sndfile-convert on Windows given Audacity doesn't throw an error with your file on Windows. But testing it now on win 7 x64, I note that libsndile 1.0.24 32-bit and 1.0.25 32-bit convert the file OK. 1.0.24 64-bit fails and 1.0.25 64-bit w...

Re: Volume wont play through from mixer/turntables
Sorry about jumping in on the wrong thread, Gale. OK :) But you can see why it's actually better to start a new thread. I've been searching for tech assistance on this problem for over a week and nothing has remedied the problem. I have downloaded Audacity 1.3.13, LAME 3.98.2 encoder, and the lates...

Re: Intermittent Recording Dropouts with Tascam US 122
The log I sent was the log that was saved before I exited Audacity... I noticed numerous non-repeatable playback dropouts during the session... The dropouts occurred randomly and I was not able to repeat them by replaying that portion of the session. Thanks, Bob. The recorded tone is at about -24 d...
Re: VOLUME
Just started using Audacity. I use it for recording when I sing. How do I turn up the volume when I want to record? Although you are keen to get started, it's useful to read the documentation first. You can change the input volume in Mixer Toolbar: http://audacityteam.org/manual-1.2/toolbar_io.html...

Re: Play button doesn't start play
Hi Using Audacity for couples days, without problem, but now I tried to 'play' some audio file (WAV) and when I press 'play' button, nothing happens. Is this a bug, or is there an option that could cause that (unkown feature ) ? I'm using Windowz 7 Does it say 1.3.13 Beta (Unicode) when you click H...

Re: Volume wont play through from mixer/turntables
I've tried everything, including downloading Linein and using the Audacity Beta 1.3.13. Preferences in Finder logged to CODEC. Still no playback sound. Any other ideas? You jumped into someone else's thread. Do you have a basic Numark M1 mixer with usb connection and two NDX400 cdjs like the origin...
