Re: Intermittent Recording Dropouts with Tascam US 122
Bob, We must be precise if we are going to make any more progress. I did not ask if it played without glitches, I asked if you hear those two words I mentioned complete. Do you agree those exact places: * 1.54 "on't of "won't" missing * 2.15 "bou" of "about" missin...

Re: Trouble with USB Mixer and Repeating first track
Sorry, I don't know much about mixers, but I still assume somehow that control room output is getting sent to the computer. You are connecting the mixer to the computer only via USB, aren't you? According to the manual: http://www.peavey.com/assets/literature/manuals/00512740.pdf (at the bottom of p...

Re: Launching Audacity by opening a file doesn't import the
my version of 1.3.12 is on my (last model, Sept., 2005 of the) G4 PowerBook running OS X 10.4.11. The 1.3.12 release vanished before I could try it on my new MacBook Pro which I got at the end of June this year. In that case could you try 1.3.12 on the current machine: http://audacity.googlecode.co...

Re: Preference/Library missing
Installed Audacity 1.3.13 from Ubuntu Software Center on Ubuntu 11.04 The menu item Library under Preference is missing (see attached screenshot) Thanks I'm one of those who won't upgrade Ubuntu to 11.x because of the Unity shell, but I would guess the reason "Libraries" is missing is tha...

Re: Intermittent Recording Dropouts with Tascam US 122
A file is on the way from USend it. One project, 2 recordings, both using the Tascam as input. The top was played back through the computer sound card, Sigma Tel. The second was played back through the Tascam. I noticed at least two repeatable glitches in the Tascam playback. The first at approx 1:...

Re: Trouble with USB Mixer and Repeating first track
Just hooked up a Peavey PV10 USB mixer. I get the first track down then something very strange happens. I go to record another track on top of the first and the first track repeats along with whatever it is I'm trying to overdub in the new window! Do you mean the first track is being recorded into ...

Re: convert label to cue sheet, and cue sheet to label
Apologies if I am being stupid, but if I paste contents of a simple Audacity 1.3.13 Beta labels file thus: 2.232558 2.232558 a 10.534884 10.534884 b into http://grimblefritz.com/audacity/lbl2cue.php ("Convert Audacity labels to CUE sheet") then press "Convert", there is no output...

Re: Recording with Multiple USB Mics
Thanks, Koz, for the answers. Sorry for the demands for "more precision" but if there is anything here to put on Audacity Bugzilla (i.e. Apple is not 100% to blame), developers will want to see clear descriptions and "steps to reproduce". And if Apple is to blame then we can note...

Re: Problems recording a second track (multi-tracking)
I hit record, play guitar, and hit stop. Then I plug in my bass, hit record, play and hit stop... OK, so you unplug guitar, then plug in your bass... We can rule out anything in the amp to do with multiple instruments connected? Can we rule out only one instrument being affected? I agree loudness i...

Re: Launching Audacity by opening a file doesn't import the
If you're on a MacBook Pro and you don't know about the Control-Click thing, you would open it like this: Desktop > Select the file > File > Open With > Audacity 1.3.13. That works, too. I appreciate the test. Koz. :) Is that "Desktop > Select the file..." path from the Finder? Not heard ...
