Re: More Effects?
In your previous Beta version of Audacity, or in 1.3.13 without realising, you had enabled the "CleanSpeech" Mode with reduced interface. If you want the full menus, click Edit > Preferences, choose "Interface" on the left, then uncheck "CleanSpeech Mode" and click OK. ...

Re: Back que DJ Needle for 78s?
I think you should search on Google or ask on a more appropriate forum. Perhaps a high performance dedicated 78 rpm cartridge is what you are looking for?

latest project https://www.yousendit.com/download/bHlCd0VKbWdBNkdGa1E9PQ Thanks for the file. Unfortunately the blocksize change wasn't running so blockfiles are still every 12 seconds. I think it's worth getting them every 48 seconds by launching with -blocksize 4255600. I can only hear two proble...

Re: RE: memory and recording
It's the bare minimum for the system, so don't be surprised if you have to pare down processes in order to record.Equuleus wrote:1 GB... workable?
You won't be able to move to OS X 10.7 (2 GB RAM required) or probably subsequent Mac OS X versions without more RAM.

Re: Stereo Mix enabled, still not Recording!
You shouldn't have two "default" recording devices. In fact I'm surprised that Windows would allow you to do that. No, that's correct. The "Default Communication Device" for playback and recording is the device that Windows uses by default for phone (VoIP) and unified communicat...
Re: no sound
The audio out belongs to the SoundBlaster but I still don't get any sound. You need to follow the steps already given. Turn off "listen to this device" in Windows. Choose the "SoundBlaster" as the output device in Audacity's Device Toolbar then click the Transport menu and click...

Re: Intermittent Recording Dropouts with Tascam US 122
Hi Bob, Please post the link to the project. We can at least see if the problems are at blockfile boundaries. Are you still shutting down all other processes when recording or have you stopped doing that now? As always, it would help if you described the glitches as a "bang overlaying complete ...

Re: RE: memory and recording
My iBook has only 1 mB RAM. Disk will have 48 GB free space. Test recording thus far has been successful. I plan on recording with Audacity set to stereo, at highest bit depth and 96k sample rate to obtain highest quality audio for video being recorded simultaneosly (on independent digital video eq...

Re: Audacity cannot locate libmp3lame.dylib
I've already answered an identical question to our feedback address from "Zareh" at a different address. Is that you? This was my reply: OS X 10.6 and 10.7 can often have permissions problems or even lock /usr/local out of use unless you log in as root. ... I suggest you try following the ...
