Re: Overwrite Tracks
When i tried exporting multiple, i ended up with short wave files that did not all start at my precious time zero. In what application do they not start at time zero - Audacity? If you are using 1.3.13 supplied by us, Export Multiple in my example will produce three WAV files in each of which the t...

Re: MD5sum for v1.2.6 for Windows
Any news on the feature request? We have been discussing it amongst ourselves recently (actually for LAME rather than Audacity) but the problems are: a) we don't want to confuse Windows users by adding things the majority won't understand (I don't mean to be condescending, but checksums would have ...

Re: How to configure Input Device for Recording
I seem to now be able to record in stereo both from playing MP3s and streaming MP3s are already lossy so I still think you should import them into Audacity if they are already on your computer, not lose more quality by recording them from analogue playback. I still can only record ANYTHING at pract...

Re: Noise removal not working in Windows 7
unfortunately I cannot select any segment to be the profile. 1. I start with a sound file 2. I go to EFFECT | NOISE REMOVAL 3. I select GET NOISE PROFILE 4. nothing happens! That's not quite what you said the first time, which was that you could do the above and see a progress dialogue "'Creat...

Re: Windows 7 - Cannot hear recording
As you are on Windows 7 please use 1.3.13 Beta: http://audacity.googlecode.com/files/audacity-win-unicode-1.3.13.exe Then in Device Toolbar: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/Device_Toolbar set the output device to the device you have your speakers or headphones connected to. You can right-click th...

Re: Overwrite Tracks
Okay so that worked, thanks for the tip. It's unfortunate that there is no easier way to do this though, as I had to make seven seperate saves :) If the tracks you are exporting contain nothing other than the content you want to export from them, then you can do File > Export Multiple to export all...

Re: Launching Audacity by opening a file doesn't import the
Thanks, Todd. Well it's easily tested either by finding an MP3 without extended attributes or deleting them with xattr -d as described here: http://gerry.ws/2010/04/1314/managing-files-with-extended-attributes-on-mac-os-x.html Have you tried exporting an MP3 from Audacity, quitting then launching Au...

Re: Overwrite Tracks
I'm exporting several single tracks, but don't want to mix them, as i'm sending them to someone else who will be mixing them to other instrumental tracks. He is going to be using all of my 7 tracks into the mix, so he would like them to all start at the same time, so that he doesn't need to manuall...
