Only moderators can do that, but it's more useful for others to see the question and the answer. :)

Re: Import/Export wave file changes it

It's a bug as noted at "Dither noise" in the 1.3.13 Release Notes . You can use the workaround mentioned there for future exports. Also see http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=38756 for removing dither noise from silence in files that have already been exported. Gale

Re: 1.3.11 won't recoginize USB headset

I had the same problem. Waited a while for Windows 7 to recognize the headset, but still couldn't record anything (Mr Flatline). Turns out the headset had a 'mute' button on it!! That is probably not a case of Windows or Audacity not recognising the headset. Strictly, "not recognising&qu...

Re: LABEL tool great for TITLE.. how about ARTIST too?

I'm ripping vinyl and said vinyl rips typically include multiple artists. When I EXPORT MULTIPLE to MP3, I have to override the ARTIST, track by track. Would be nice the LABEL tool also has an ARTIST box... When left blank, will use the master Artist specifed in the project metatdata, but if use, w...

Re: Resample without changing pitch

There is no bug. Use the "Project Rate" box (that's what Koz mentioned) then click above the Mute/Solo buttons to select the track then Project > Quick Mix. Or just export if you are ready to.

Re: Intermittent Recording Dropouts with Tascam US 122

On the OS choice, there is no point looking at Vista or 7 if the hardware is incompatible (nor is the US 122 officially compatible with 7). In that case go for XP *without Media Centre Edition*. Microsoft don't supply retail versions any longer but you should still be able to find legitimate copies ...

Re: Intermittent Recording Dropouts with Tascam US 122

Bob, I do suspect the OS given it's Media Center Edition. Did you ever stop MCE launching at Windows launch, or do you shut down its processes anyway? I think MCE is more pervasive than its visible processes, but if I had to bet I think Tascam recordings will exhibit these problems on your MCE setup...

Re: Launching Audacity by opening a file doesn't import the

I'm getting this behaviour with 1.3.14 Sept 25. If I double-click a .aup file, Audacity opens, I get the "Audacity Information" dialog, then an empty project window titled "Audacity". Similarly if I double-click a .aif file. If I instead right-click on the .aup or .aif file, cho...
