Re: Recording a synth question
If you use a plug-in you can possibly use Virtual Audio Cable to take the output of minihost and turn it into a virtual input that Audacity can record from. Has anyone done that? Or does minihost support for ASIO stop that working? But if you are going to get REAPER, can that record your synth while...

Re: Fichiers .wav corrompus
Thanks for the files. Sorry to bear bad news, but Audacity is giving you exactly what is in the corrupted file that has the three repeated sections. The audio length is correct for the length of the corrupted file. It starts just after where the headers should have been, giving the cue points and ti...

Re: Recording a synth question
I've enabled "Stereo Mix" as the recording device. It isn't working. I've tried doing it through Audacity and then through Control Panel. When I click record, I get "Error while opening sound device. Please check the input device settings and the project sample rate." Any idea w...

Re: Volume Problem
I went back into the Stereo mix controls and unchecked “listen to this device” (but kept it enabled), and the problem was solved. Thanks for letting us know. "Listen to this device" should never be enabled for stereo mix. It's software playthrough just like that in Audacity and will give ...

Re: I have deleted the Meter Toolbar...
Click Edit > Preferences then "Interface" at the top. Use the arrows if you can't see "Interface". Make sure "Enable Meter Toolbar" has a check mark (if there is no check mark, click in the box for that item). Then click OK. If you still cannot see the Meter Toolbar, yo...

Re: noisy
on the level thing on this thing it never shows a USB device by name at all. USB should be there somewhere right? Yes of course it should. Are you sure you are right-clicking over the correct device in the "Recording" tab of "Sound" or that the computer is even recognising the U...

Re: Input Level Meter Grayed Out - Wasn't Before!
Steve, thanks for providing 1.3.12. I just installed it and I have my recording level control back! :D So looks like this may be a bug in 1.3.13. Everything is working perfect now. I think I'll stick to 1.3.12 until this is fixed in a later version. This situation is SOoo IRONIC because my situatio...

Re: Orphaned Files.
MacOS-X is a Unix-based system and steps on "vacant" file space almost immediately. Interesting. This is not of course the line the program manufacturers spin you such as http://mackeeper.zeobit.com/mac-undelete . Recovery of deleted file is generally quite successful on Windows if your d...

Re: URGENT HELP NEEDED!
How long are the recordings supposed to be? Do you get an error when exporting, if so what does it say? If you are still stuck, I suggest posting a screenshot of one of the projects. CTRL + F in Audacity to fit the project to the screen, then ALT + PrtScr to capture the project window. Open Paint, p...
