Re: Linear loudness vertical axis in frequency spectrum?
@zapparella: "Linear Plot Spectrum vertical axis" has now been added to Wiki Feature Requests as I promised. But it has only your vote and we are not (generally speaking) adding or improving features until after the next 2.0 major release (which is held up by fixing some project stability ...

Re: Audacity Beta 1.3.13 & BIAS Soundsoap 2.2.0
I am having trouble authorizing (SoundSoap) and have contacted BIAS tech support about that. My question for you is, are you surprised this message comes up when I click on the Audacity icon? Does it make any sense to you? It's normal if you load trialware/nagware/unauthorised plug-ins. Audacity do...

Re: Bigger size file
The project rate value that appears when I open a file is the original value of that file or it is a preset of Audacity? It *is* a preset ("Default Sample Rate" in the Quality Preferences), *but* providing there are no other tracks in the project window when you import the file, the Audac...

Re: Intermittent Recording Dropouts with Tascam US 122
However, we haven't solved the Beta problem and I'm still committed to that. Keep me posted. I don't think there is anything we can do in the near future, Bob. We know other people use US 122 with Audacity Beta without these problems, but we also know there are question marks over US 122 with parti...

Re: Muffled recording of PC playback, only 1 common in/out p
I am not trying to record with a mic. The point I am trying to make is the Asus netbook is constructed so that the input & output has only one common jack (unlike a desktop and most laptops). The only choice offered for recording is the mic and it is on by default. If you mute the mic, you also...

Re: Intermittent Recording Dropouts with Tascam US 122
No difference with XP sans MCE, intermittent bangs but much fewer than before. How about that other editor you tried that did the same as Audacity Beta? Looks like the Tascam has to go? Or use 1.2.6 or a lightweight recorder like Windows Sound Recorder? I don't know how much editing you do in Audac...

Re: Bigger size file
How are you exporting the CAF file exactly - using "Other Uncompressed Files"? If you click "Options" with "Other Uncompressed Files" selected, what does the "Encoding" say? If the file you imported is at one particular sample rate, and you exported with the p...

Re: Muffled recording of PC playback, only 1 common in/out p
I split this to a new topic as the one you posted to was about microphone recording and I believe you want to record computer playback. Please follow these steps to see if you have a "stereo mix", "what u hear", "wave out" or similar device for recording computer playba...

Re: Corrupted Audacity Files
Does "CBS_NBA_85_montage" show as 16-bit above the mute/solo buttons of the track, and do the other tracks show as 32-bit? No, Gale. In fact, ALL the tracks in that project presently appear as "32-bit float," and all at 48,000 Hz, by the way... The mono track, "CBS_NBA_85_m...

Or you could perhaps run Oneiric on a live CD and try libsndfile 1.0.24 that way?DjBR wrote:I suspect that I would have to apt-src something to get 1.0.21, or 1.0.25, and also break half of my system,
