As for the re-encoding matter I had to do it anyway because the original songs were mp3 and the CD I wanted to make had to be AIFF since my commercial CD player doesn't read MP3 records. That's fine for an audio CD. Re-encoding to WAV or AIFF never loses quality (nor does it improve quality). Gale

Im having the same issue as well, only after following the advice from page 1- i am now seeing the plugins listed in the "add/remove plugins" window... but after clicking "enable" and then "ok" the plugins still aren't usable. Is this your first ever install of Audacit...

How are you monitoring the condenser mic through the built-in sound card? Audacity's Software Playthrough? Have you tried "Listen to this device"? Right-click over the speaker icon by the system clock, then choose "Recording Devices". Right-click over the Focusrite device then ch...

I may have found a solution with existing software, tho - if I first convert the mp4 video to mp3 in Freemake*, and then import into Audacity and do the adjustments, and then add the improved audio to the original video in Freemake - the sound is the right length!
