Re: cannot control input volume!
Use the Meter Toolbar: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/Meter_Toolbar to turn monitoring on or off and the Mixer Toolbar sliders: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/Mixer_Toolbar to set levels. If the Mixer Toolbar input slider is greyed out on maximum, open the Windows Control Panel, find the M-A...

Re: Exact amplitude value appear in the status panel?
As I move the cursor, is there a way to have the exact amplitude value appear in the status panel? No. Are you trying to get the amplitude of a particular sample when zoomed right in, so that moving the cursor up / down does not change the value, but moving left/right does? In that case there is a ...

Re: Bug - can't export to MP3-128
That's not the stand-alone Mac lame. That file blows out to another dylib. That DMG defeated my Windows dmg extractor so I had to rely on the description which said "A universal binary (lybrary + frontend) which will run on both PowerPC and Intel powered Mac's". This one would probably wo...

Re: Odd behaviours on joining and splitting stereo tracks
If right is above left and you "Make Stereo Track" I agree it's nonsensical to reverse the channels, though easy to see it's why it's as it is. I was thinking before now that we needed a review bug for this. I think "b) Track A remains as the Right channel, but jumps down below Track ...

Re: Bug - can't export to MP3-128
If the Project Rate (Hz) isn't at the same sample rate of the track, then the output is not what is expected. But when the sample rate and project rate are the same, then the export works fine. Not quite, the answer is complex. Were you using a very low project rate? The operative factor is that if...

Re: Tape2USB not detected
Please see: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/USB_turntables#setup Most of that page applies equally to USB cassette decks. If Windows recognises the USB device but Audacity doesn't, choose Transport > Rescan Audio Devices in Audacity then choose "USB Audio CODEC" in Device Toolbar. Gale

Re: Orphaned Block file error message upon loading audacity
I am running Version 1.3.13 - beta on a mac book pro with OSX 10.5.8.. As I stated previously, all the info seemed to save correctly in the session, and the project itself did not crash. I have all the .AU files but it will not reference to them. I also do not seem to be able to point the program t...

Re: Error 4880 when burning CDs in iTunes
I already try this myself by doing this in my samsung CDR drive and pls. see illustration below... E: SAMSUNG CD-R/RW SW-248F, Rev R602 The drive CDR speeds are: 4 8 10 12 13 16 17 20. The drive CDRW speeds are: 4. Setting iTunes to burn at 24 might not work if your drive only writes at 20. Try LOW...

Re: Linear loudness vertical axis in frequency spectrum?
I think that if there was an option to switch off automatic scaling then there would need to be some way for the user to set the scale. I'm not particularly concerned about "how" the user would set the scale (whether through a text box, slider, menu or whatever) but just that scale can be...
