Have you tried the "AM Radio" preset in Effect > Equalization in Audacity Beta?

Nebulous wrote:I downloaded ASIO4ALL thinking that might work, but alas I don't see a way to make it work in conjunction with Audacity either.
Audacity as shipped simply won't see those (or any other ASIO) drivers.

Re: Cross-Fade (revisited)

Just turn Snap To on, select from 2s to 4s and the "Fade Length" to 1s (in the last working plug-in). Try making the cross-fade manually. You want a 1 second cross-fade, which will require a 1 second fade-out down from the 2 second mark and a 1 second fade-in up to the 4 second mark. 1) S...

Re: Audacity 1.3.13 beta with no admin rights

Sorry for not being clear enough. I am tranig to explanier it again. Loggend in as normal user, Audacity does NOT recognise the libraries. Loggend in as admin user, Audacity does recognise the libraries. Then your permissions are messed up, which is common on OS X 10.6 or 10.7. What version of OS X...

Re: Input device doesn't list ATI HD card

I see that Realtek has new drivers (2011/10/21) at http://www.realtek.com/downloads/downloadsview.aspx?langid=1&pnid=14&pfid=24&level=4&conn=3&downtypeid=3&getdown=false But now I'm not near my Grandson's computer (which has the problem). Those are only generic drivers not m...

Re: Really white toolbars on different Linux distro

Sorry dude. Didn't mean to post in the wrong forum, and you're right I should have provided more info! You're forgiven :) I'm running Audacity 1.3.14-alpha-Oct 29 2011 on elementary OS, which is an Ubuntu 10.10 Maverick based distro. Audacity was downloaded from the Audacity Daily Build ppa. Althou...

Re: Listening and recording at the same time

So I'm reading here that Audacity 1.3 will solve my immediate problem in that when I sing to a recorded piano track, I will be able to hear my voice as it records "close enough" to real-time so that it won't distract me. No, this is "playthrough delay" that can only be completel...

Re: Cross-Fade (revisited)

I have a 0.3 amplitude 400 Hz tone abutting 0.3 noise at 3.2 s. I have generated 500 ms of full scale 1000 Hz tone equidistantly either side of 3.2s. I select from 2s to 4s and do a Cross Fade with length of 1s with the "Simple" Fade Shape. Why does the blip of 1000 Hz tone end up at 2.15...

Re: Really white toolbars on different Linux distro

You are using a 1.3 version of Audacity so please post to the 1.3 board not the 1.2 board. I moved the topic to the 1.3 board. Audacity does not change very much to respect different GTK themes; that's how it is at present. Theming will not work in Audacity 1.3.9 or later unless you have compiled Au...

Re: Error Message

Please close the project where you have or had orphan block files for the moment without saving any changes to it. The orphans are not to do with the ability to record but to do with the data that is in that particular project. However Audacity 1.3 has a bug where reopening saved projects can give &...
