Re: Orphan blockfiles when opening saved project
What was the project rate? Open the .aup in Notepad, turn word wrap off and look for "rate" near the top of the file, at the end of the line starting with "<project xmlns=". Unless the rate was as low as 22050 Hz or so (which it doesn't look like given the number of files) you re...

Re: How do I record a CD from Audacity?
You don't have to use WMP to burn, you could try the free program Steve suggested:
http://cdburnerxp.se/en/download .
Are there any errors when burning? Are you using a CD-R disc or CD-RW? Some CD players don't like CD-RW.

Re: Recording from Line Inputs on Saffire Pro24?
I've got a Saffire Pro24 DSP and I'm trying to record some old records and tapes onto my Mac. I've got the turntable and tape deck hooked up to a mixer going into Line Inputs 3 and 4. However, the options in Audacity are set to 2 (Stereo) Input Channels or either Line Input 3 or Line Input 4. I can...

Re: suggestion - horizontal lines on the audio panel
I think it may be useful to have a full length horizontal cursor line to be able to assess the low amplitude regions of the recording. Thanks, I'll add your vote as this has been asked for before. However please post further feature suggestions on the Adding Features to Audacity board rather than h...

Re: Multiple crashes on new Windows 7 laptop
Thanks for the reply, charliem. I hope the following isn't too long and too many questions thrown at you. There is definitely no known issue in principle about moving projects created in 1.3.x versions between different versions of Windows, or even between different platforms such as Windows to Mac....

Re: Multi-channel Recording in Audacity
I am (trying) to use the Presonus AudioBox 1818 with a Digimax 8B to get 16 channels. I am running Win7 64 bit. I was able to record 8 channels on my old XP machine (32 bit). While I could see the inputs on the Digimax I was only able to record 2 Digimax channels at time (unless I've completely mis...

Re: Recording Multi Channels
Hi, I do alot of live recording for plays and musicals so going in and recording each person one at a time isn't really an option. I am currently just going straight from my BEHRINGER 1222FX into the xlr mic ports on my canon XLH1 and record stereo, with music on the left and microphones on the rig...

Re: 1.3.13-beta build fails
There is a 1.3.12 package here: http://pkgs.org/centos-6-rhel-6/epel-x86_64/audacity-1.3.12-0.6.beta.el6.x86_64.rpm.html I can't find out much about that error except that it is probably related with headers. Are you sure you installed the dev package of wxGTK if separate dev packages are supplied? ...

Re: Audacity crashes instantly when opening/editting files
There are quite a few reports on the web suggesting similar problems just started in the last week or two after an OS X Lion software/firmware update. The crash reports all have virtual memory messages similar to the one in your report. One user found the problem gone after a reinstall of Lion (whic...
