Re: Combining audio files
steve, that is a different method than what I have been using; I have been selecting the file to append, doing the 'find zero crossings' thing, cutting & pasting, I have plenty of disc space. Gale - I am using 2.1.2 I shall try the combine process again and let it roll on overnight. It should n...

Re: Disorted audio record with Audacity
If you take your computer mouse and click this link in blue http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/device_toolbar.html it explains how to use Device Toolbar. It will probably help to drag Device Toolbar wider then you can more easily see the contents of each box. Drag Device Toolbar wider by dragging th...

Re: Putting a clip to left or right channel
You can also split to mono then use the L....R pan slider on each mono track. You can have more control that way. Make sure it sounds correct before you export.

Re: Audacity recording meter problem
Let us be clear. Audacity as shipped does not support ASIO or ASIO4ALL. You would have to install Visual Studio, the ASIO SDK, then wxWidgets then compile the Audacity source code. See http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/ASIO_ ... io_support.
I assume you don't want all that.

Re: Combining audio files
I am trying to combine (in sequence) three audio files (the file sizes are: first file is 23.6 Mb, second file is 4.74 Mb and the third file is 935 Kb). As the process starts, the estimated time of completion starts at about an hour and continues upward; at about 6 hours of estimate I just cancel t...

Re: Recording Problem
Your Audio Device Info is the same as before. You have to enable a device in Windows Sound before Audacity will see it. Did you find and enable any more playback devices other than the HDMI outputs? Again, those are not in your Audio Device Info. You almost certainly do have a Realtek Control Panel....

Re: Is there the multi-select?
a lot of kicks that I want to de-amplify, how can I do it quickly? You don't need multiple selections to do that. Try for example Limiter on the entire selection. Gale Thanks for the answer, I didn't know the Limiter: it is easy and helpful: but using it will have some effects on the song quality? ...

Re: Problem recording sound trough Logitech Wireless headset
I have also made sure that the headset is on and not muted(it automatically plays the sound obtained from the microphone directly in to the speakers of the headset, so when I turn it on I can instantly hear that it is on. I can hear my own voice in the headset and all that). Where have you made tha...
