Re: Low input level with no control in 1.3.14
Try 1.3.12 to begin with: http://audacity.googlecode.com/files/audacity-macosx-ub-1.3.12.dmg . I was able to locate both 1.3.9 and 1.3.12. I suppose I should use .12 then. Yes, try that first. I can control both mic/phone inputs and device output with the Lexicon. That is the correct way to do it. ...

Re: How to not scan plug-ins
Now all the plug-ins are in C:Program FilesAudacity 1.3 Beta (Unicode)Plug-InsPlug-Ins. Will Audacity look for them in "...Plug-InsPlug-Ins"? No, Audacity doesn't look recursively into directories inside its "Plug-ins" folder. Select all the plug-ins, cut them, then paste them i...

Re: Low input level with no control in 1.3.14
Try 1.3.12 to begin with: http://audacity.googlecode.com/files/audacity-macosx-ub-1.3.12.dmg . The version of the PortAudio Audio I/O interface we use changed between 1.3.12 and 1.3.13, but 1.3.14 uses the same as 1.3.13. 1.3.9 probably only let you apply software gain to the signal rather than actu...

Re: Cannot Install FFMPEG
I did download the install file for FFmpeg. I ran the install program and all the files are in the "/usr/library/program support/audacity/" location. We have had problems for the last two releases of OS X that the location the offered LAME and FFmpeg installers install to (/usr/local/lib/...

Re: Can't find installed Lame or AAC Lib
I have not tried the zip files. Will try that or install latest 1.3.14 version. I would install 1.3.14 because it has the latest bug fixes. Use the zips instead. Try extracting the dylib file from each zip into the folder where you installed Audacity, then browse to there from the Libraries Prefere...

Re: 1.3.14 Where is "cut" under Edit
Please excuse my ignorance but I do not understand anything about the clipboard. A little more detail to amplify on 58Mark's reply. It is Audacity's own "clipboard" which can store audio, as distinct from the Windows clipboard which mainly stores text and images. Once audio has been cut o...

Re: Undesired levelling and clipping on Import
It should happen less if you use a higher MP3 export bit rate (in the "Options" button when you export). As you are using the default 32-bit resolution for projects, you can undo the MP3 clipping by using Effect > Amplify - it should show a negative value in "Amplification (dB)" ...

Re: 1.3.14 Where is "cut" under Edit
Cut has been grouped under "Remove Audio" in the Edit menu. CTL + X still works for Cut.

Thanks for the reply. All the cases I have seen so far have been with Windows XP SP2 or SP3.polkat wrote:I'm presently using Windows XP Home edition with SP3.

Re: Silent subliminal function
100 000 Hz is maximum project rate in Audacity 1.2. You can upgrade to the latest 1.3.14 Beta here:Tazadar wrote:Hello, when I set 192000 to the project sample rate I get "Invalid rate."
