Re: Program GUI won't launch
Do I take it there is no taskbar button for Audacity? Did you go to the processes tab of Windows Task Manager, right-click over "audacity.exe" then choose "End Process Tree"? Replacing audacity.cfg may not work otherwise. Have you recently installed any new plug-ins? After making...

Re: Transferring audio through video to USB converter [SOLVE
I had already installed FFMPEG. Thank you for your recommendations for USB interfaces. Diamond's software is not useful and their documentation is nil. I will return this product and get something more applicable. Thanks, Ed. I've moved to the English 1.3 Beta board and marked this [SOLVED]. Note t...

Re: A couple of issues with the 1.3.15 ASIO build
I once had (double album) 2 .aup open (sides a-b and sides c-d) I had saved a-b and was recording c-d no changes were made to a-b it was only open but when Audacity crashed saving sides c-d both .aup projects had the corruption on opening. What do you mean by "corruption" in this context?...

Re: De LP via USB2
I responded to your email, Gale. Nothing worked. Also posted in English. I disapproved that, Ed, let's keep one thread, please. I've noted the extra information you added there: ***Diamond VC-500 RCA-USB2 video/audio converter*** ( http://www.diamondmm.com/VC500.php ) Technics turntable connected t...

Re: Pitch shift problems
Do you mean Effect > Change Pitch?
If so, that works only on a percentage change. C# to C is thus identical to G# to G.
See http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/Change_Pitch .

Transferring audio through video to USB converter [SOLVED]
I've connected the turntable (RCA connectors) to my amp and the output from the amp to a RCA-USB converter. I get the following error: I have an HP Pavillion dv5 1500 running Windows 7 Ultimate. I was successful transferring to the computer from the amplifier using the pre-amp and the amp output to...

Re: A couple of issues with the 1.3.15 ASIO build
I compiled Audacity with ASIO support myself using the guide. Hi Cwluc, Well done on managing the compilation. :) I was concerned you may have received an unlicensed build of Audacity. The only restriction on the build you made is that you must only use it for yourself and not publish it anywhere o...

Re: Export to WAV Libsndfile error [SOLVED]
I pressed 'Clear' on the meta data (FL Studio 10 had inserted itself in there) then it exported. Thanks for posting further down the thread, which makes the solution easier to find. I'm locking the thread and marking it [SOLVED] now, to aid that objective. Also had an error the initial time I insta...
