Re: Mouse Buttons Shortcuts?
Not with any functionality built into Audacity. You might (or might not) be able to make some global shortcuts like Undo work in Audacity with a program like: http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/how-to-set-up-run-mouse-shortcuts-with-strokeit-mouse-gestures/ . Or if you are prepared to write scripts for mo...

Re: Another newbie needing help. PLEASE!
Just bought a Vibe USB Turntable.Installed software. That appeared to go well. Plugged in turntable. XP recognized it and installed it no errors (that I know of). Usually USB turntables are listed as "USB Audio CODEC" and install themselves as a computer playback device (though they are n...

Re: "Open with" doesn't import the file
Moderator note: Split from http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=60598&p=158170#p158170 I have the same problem with opening a sound file by clicking: Open With.. nothing happens, and all the possible choices given do not list Audacity's new version, although it always worked wi...

Re: Sound Finder / Silence Finder improvements
there is no setting that will mark the first sound from 0.0 to 2.0 and the second sound from 2.2 to 4.2, is there? I presume that the case that you are putting forward here is: "allowed silence" is more than 1 seconds and "ignore sounds" is less than 0.2 seconds Are you suggesti...

And you presumably would not be using Windows Media Player either - or is that fixed now?frank14612 wrote: MP3s normally have been accepted this way by Audacity -- otherwise I wouldn't be using it -- but now this has changed.

Re: Auto-Heal Function?
The tool in Audacity is the Repair effect - it will fix up to 128 selected samples by interpolating from the neighbouring waveforms - see: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/Repair Just to clarify, Repair is only in Audacity Beta. You can get it here if you don't have it: http://audacityteam.org/do...

Re: Can't drag & drop MP3 from Explorer into Audacity window
If the issue is a real pain you could backup your files and reinstall Windows. Just pop the Win 7 DVD in and follow the steps to repair the existing installation.

Re: Audacity crashes when I click the play button
In my opinion we must try and respond more aggressively to crashes while Audacity's project re-opening remains under suspicion, however slight. Sean, it is possible to restart Audacity, open the .aup that crashes then attach a couple of items for us? A copy of the .aup project file that you opened A...

Re: Export Multiple Issues
If MichaelW is using the latest 1.3.14 Audacity Beta (which he should be doing on Windows 7), then Export Multiple won't even allow Windows-invalid characters to be exported, so he would never see a write error for that reason. If nothing else obviously solves the problem, try dragging a selection f...
