Re: DVW file conversion

When I import it gets in, but the clips are extreemly short, and the sound is just sounding like noise, maybe sometimes like extreemly fast speach, but that's just a guess. I think it is the dvw file format that is the problem. I would expect that in 1.2 but not in 1.3.14 - in that version, I would...

Re: 1.3.14 unable to open libmp3lame.dylib

Yes, I meant the folder that the Audacity.app was located in. You could try searching Finder for all instances of "libmp3lame.dylib" (include hidden folders in the search). Delete all of the "libmp3lame.dylib" files except the one you have in Applications/Audacity. You may have t...

Re: Audacity 3.12 keeps losing connection to my device drive

If you mean, 1.3.12 it's deprecated. Please tell us what the problem with the current 1.3.14 beta is. Maybe we can help, or fix it. You can obtain 1.3.14 here: http://audacity.googlecode.com/files/audacity-macosx-ub-1.3.14.dmg Are you using the latest Lexicon drivers: http://www.lexiconpro.com/produ...

Re: Audacity slows down my mouse

You posted in the Audacity 1.2 Windows board, so I moved this to the 1.3 Board. You may want to check at Help > About Audacity if you do have the latest Beta, which is 1.3.14: http://audacity.googlecode.com/files/audacity-win-unicode-1.3.14.exe Have you opened Windows Task Manager and seen anything ...

Re: 1.3.14 unable to open libmp3lame.dylib

Go here http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/FAQ:Installation_and_Plug-Ins#maclame get the "Alternative zip download for Lame 3.98.2" listed in the bullet point and follow the instructions. I suggest you unzip the "libmp3lame.dylib" to either your Desktop or to the folder Audacity ...

Re: Track Splitting Workflow

Did what you said and the file was opened and applied OK. The strange thing is, once the label track is imported, I can add the apostrophes back using the Edit Label function without any complaint from Audacity. An apostrophe in a song title isn't exactly a rare occurrence! To clarify, as I often h...

Re: Import audio crash when using RAM

I'm staring at a 13h31m right now with no problem. mission accomplished. Great. But watch that 2^31 samples issue noted above . If you do edits when you have total tracks over that limit, let us know whether it works or not, because that has not been well tested. And remember not to save a project ...

Re: DVW file conversion

Presumably you have tried importing them into Audacity 1.2? If that does not work you can install Audacity 1.3.14 Beta and FFmpeg . If you want to batch convert these files to some other format, you can try Audacity's "Chains" feature: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/Edit_Chains but it ...

Are you on Vista or 7? It sounds as if you are running Windows sound enhancements, so turn them off:
