Re: How to retreive an overwriten Project file
If you have a modern Windows machine, don't they have a "Step-Back" function? Roll the machine back to where it was earlier? Yes, on Windows Vista (except Home) and 7, if "System Restore" or "Previous Versions" are enabled in "System protection" in the Contro...

Re: Cannot choose source
Good. Thanks for uploading an image, that always helps. Now you can do step 1. 1. Right-click anywhere inside that window and choose "Show disabled devices" then right-click again and check "Show Disconnected Devices". You can speak quite good English, so I think you can figure o...

Re: Crash on sample rate change
This is the first time I have used Audacity (version:Beta 1.3.14 Beta). I only need it to do two simple tasks - to change the frequency from 24000 to 20050 Hz and to change the files from 32 bit to 16 bit. I must be doing something wrong as Audacity usually crashes, or if it doesn't, I export the ....

Re: Cannot choose source
To give you a slightly more complicated answer, you cannot record net radio (with Audacity) because even if your sound device has the ability to do so, Windows is stopping Audacity seeing that ability. I still need to record from net radio. Now you have told us you are on Windows 7, we can give you ...

Re: Recover recording after network share dropped?
I was using Audacity 1.3.14-Beta to record on a Windows 7 machine, storing my recording onto a Windows network share. That is not a good idea. Always record to a fast local drive if at all possible. Unfortunately, in the middle of the recording, my connection to the network share failed. The networ...

Video drivers can be a good clue, as i already performed the reinit of .cfg file ... with no more sucess :( I just though that panel resources were implemented in an external ressource file, and that this file disappered or was corrupted. It seems not to be the case ... What is the minimum video co...

Re: Cannot choose source
@ngr, I suggest you either read the help you are being offered, and answer questions when requested by people who are trying to help you, or use the other software you suggest that is specifically meant for recording computer playback. Audacity is always free if you obtain it from us, so there is no...

Thanks for the .aup. There doesn't look anything wrong with it. Make sure all those b0... files listed in the .aup file are really sitting there with the others in the "transmission 6_data" folder.
