Re: Is there any plans to bring VSTi support into Audacity?
I know this is a massive long shot as Audacity is an audio processor and not a sequencer but it'd be really nice to see some VSTi support in Audacity. No plans, but I'll add your vote for the record. if you can get recording of Stereo Mix to work in Audacity on Windows (or more complex routing of o...

Re: Upgrade 1.3.14 Causes Audacity to Crash
Thanks, Steve. @Mephostopholes, with what menu item do you import the files, and do the troublesome files have embedded file information (metadata)? You can check for metadata by clicking File > Open Metadata Editor. Metadata could be the problem. If Audacity's WAV/AIFF importer tries to open files ...

Re: Audacity.exe runs but no program
Is there a way i could install this on my SolidStateDrive? so as to avoid the crashing? Also the program will not open after the crash and reboots. You have not mentioned the crashing or freezing before. To understand what may be happening there we would need the autosave file from Users<your user ...

Re: Crash after connecting USB mic
Thanks for testing, Steve.
I can't see any workaround on Mac using 1.3.14, unless someone else can. @Frans, have you considered Audacity > Preferences: Keyboard and setting an easy-to-hit shortcut for rescan?

Re: recording cuts out after several seconds
i don't think i was running with limited privileges, since i'm the only one using this computer. however, it looks like the fact that windows 7 doesn't allow access to the directory i was recording into was the problem. i'm very new to windows 7 so i had no idea it limits access to the program file...

Re: Help not functioning
If you download the 1.3.14 .exe installer, the help files are already included. Open Windows Explorer then open the folder you installed 1.3.14 into. Open the "help" folder, then open the "manual" folder. Double-click on "index.html". Does it open in your web browser? I...

Re: Crash after connecting USB mic
Frans, It is not helpful take up our time by repeating complaints about this in different places. You mentioned this first on the users list (http://audacity.238276.n2.nabble.com/Detect-USB-devices-connects-disconnects-while-Audacity-is-running-td6904286.html ) then on [email protected] at the time (that's ...
