VST instrument plug-ins are not supported.
If your computer can record computer playback then you can run DrumCore3 in another VST host program and record it in Audacity.
Or try alternative solutions .

Re: I can't choose which method to record my audio
I deleted your duplicate post in which you asked the same question. Please only post once. We do always reply to posts in English. I moved this to the 1.2 board for Windows since you are using 1.2. If you have selected the wrong recording device in the Preferences in Audacity 1.2 (for example a USB ...

Re: Recording from Speaker Output
Some time back someone on here recommended Freecorder for the task I was doing. It works fine...................EXCEPT it doesn't display the name of the music or the artist, etc? You mean the MP3 it saves doesn't have those tags in the metadata? You will have to add those using mp3Tag or similar. ...

Re: Flat lining when exporting from audacity project
Interesting, but it reproduces in 32-bit quality on Windows.billw58 wrote:I was going crazy trying to reproduce this, until I set my project quality to 16 bit. If you open the project with Audacity set to 32 bit the bug does not occur.

Re: Residual channel noise
On my Win 7 desktop PC, if I close the input device slider in the Mixer Tool bar, I also get a true flat line. And if I crack it open (to 0.1) I get some residual noise. Is the true flat line impossible to amplify - open "Amplify" and "New Peak Amplitude" is "-Infinity"...

Re: Residual channel noise
Since you threw in an aside question not yet answered, I'll do so... There are some, infrequent, occasions when I would like to capture sounds (from the Internet) that are already playing on my PC. Those sounds are already digitized - aren't they? - and so "recording" should just be a case...

Re: Building on OSX 10.6 Snow Leopard
The 2.8.11 patch http://code.google.com/p/audacity/source/browse/audacity-src/trunk/mac/wxMac-2.8.11.patch is still needed for Audacity releases against 2.8.12 because it prevents a hang when Audacity scans for VST plug-ins for the first time on OS X 10.5.8 (Leopard) PPC machines. If none of your us...

Please follow the instructions here to download and install "Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Package": http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?p=45745#p45745 . Although that thread is old, the fix seems to solve the few current instances we've seen of this issue. Be sure ...

Re: Flat lining when exporting from audacity project
For those playing at home, I was cutting out the first 4-5 seconds or so...leaving a half second or so before the music started. Once that was cut, then I think I was putting my cursor around 7:09, selecting track start to cursor, then exporting selection. Thanks for the steps, I can reproduce the ...
