Restart Audacity if you connected the Yeti after launching Audacity.

Otherwise, try setting the mic up in Apple Audio MIDI Setup:

It's a bug in 1.2.6 if the project rate and the sample rate of the track don't match.

I don't intend a user setting for "(1) allow tiny silences so that we don't fragment all sounds". That's the "allow silence" control in the current version of Sound Finder. Are you wanting me to make that a fixed duration? If so, how long? I'm not sure if I'm fully understanding...
