Re: Sliding Time/Scale Pitch result sounds strange

Gale, in the original 1.3.13 version, there is only one slide type which linearly interpolates the rate factor and not the stretch factor (inverses of one another), and so the actual length in your case should be log(1.05/.95) / (1.05 - 0.95) ~ 1.00083 times the original. Hi Clayton, using the Time...

Re: crashed with two opened

@ Redleg, further to your e-mail to [email protected] confirming you have 1.3.14, there is always an increased crash risk if you are applying effects in one project while recording in another, especially if the RAM option is enabled. More generally, the increased processing load could lead to drop-outs in y...

Re: Sliding Time/Scale Pitch result sounds strange

Thanks, Clayton. This is not an issue on 64-bit Windows, either.

I notice that the initial -5/final +5 tempo change (that is one would think, balanced) slightly increases the number of samples in the processed selection. Is that expected?

Re: Sliding Time/Scale Pitch result sounds strange

I could, but it is "exactly" a repeat of the first four beats... I don't have the original (sample) anymore, but could reproduce it by cutting the first 8 beats from the song again? I could also prepare an example with a pure sine (with and without Sliding time/scale applied). A sine tone...

Re: Instructor wanted in Las Vegas

We need an instructor to provide in person training on audacity. Our project is an anamatic film. 4 voice actor and 3 track music score, We estimate 3 to 4 hours of instruction in our Las Vegas location. We will pay a reasonable fee. Dan, One of the moderators here lives (I think) in Las Vegas (or ...

Re: Sliding Time/Scale Pitch result sounds strange

I tried to apply the Sliding Time/Scale Pitch effect to a part of a song and got a horrible result. My guess would be that sample format is completely off while transforming. Attached are the first 8 bars of a song of which the last 4 beats had a sliding tempo change applied to them from -5 to +5. ...

Re: Cannot Export to .WAV Error Message

Are you using export multiple? If so, try selecting all the part you want to export as your first track, then File > Export. Repeat for the other tracks. If that does not help. try Edit > Select All, Edit > Copy, File > New then Edit > Paste. Try exporting the copied audio from the new project. Gale

Re: Newbie Needs Help

It appears that when I add a second channel there is no audio on that track. You need to use Edit > Duplicate as explained above. I guess I have a mono recording and cannot increase the sound of one voice on the recording? You can do it manually if the voices are always speaking one at a time. If t...
