Re: reproducible crash exporting large mp3s
Have a look in "Edit menu > Preferences > Directories" and ensure that "Play and/or record using RAM (useful for slow drives)" is not selected. If you select half of the track and use "Export Selection", then select the other half and export that in the same way, does ...

Re: Please Help me!! Error :not well-formed (invalid token)
Hi dudu, The problem (opening the file in ANSI Audacity) was the track name in Arabic (lines 5 and 33 in the .aup file - the name appears twice for a stereo track). In the attached I have renamed the wavetrack name to "Track" for safety. However to save further problems, please open this ....

Re: Please Help me!! Error :not well-formed (invalid token)
This is the number I found 1.3.14 -beta (ANSI) That is why you have this problem. As I said, the ANSI version cannot cope with Arabic characters. Here is the Unicode Audacity version you need: http://audacity.googlecode.com/files/audacity-win-unicode-1.3.14.exe . what is a .cfg file?? Apologies! I ...

Re: Please Help me!! Error :not well-formed (invalid token)
I already have a Unicode version and maybe the problem was that I saved the audio files names in (Arabic) I did what you said exactly, and now I get an error in line 5!! What should I do now? Unicode versions of Audacity "should" cope with Arabic. Line 5 probably means there are problemat...

Re: Chromebook
No. Audacity does not support Chrome OS, nor does it run on the web like all Chrome OS applications have to.sososophh wrote:Is there a way to download Audacity on a Chromebook? I hope so, let me know!

Re: Please Help me!! Error :not well-formed (invalid token)
Moved to the correct Audacity 1.3.X board I've spend the last two hours recording some passages for work using Audacity, and I did not save the recordings as an MP3 format or WAVE Format (I use Windows). Now when I try to open the Audio files I get this error!: Error :not well-formed (invalid token...

Re: "Open with" doesn't import the file
I added a newer version of Audacity, 1.3.14 beta while still having an older version. I could open both. I tried the newer one with "open with", but it always brought me to the old version, and I did not have two choices of Audacity. So I removed the old version from my system, but I stil...

Re: "Cross-platform sound editor has stopped working"
Download the 2.0.0 pre-release:
http://audacity.googlecode.com/files/au ... 2.0rc5.exe
It has a fix for crashes when importing MP3 files that have duplicated metadata tags - which is quite common.
Please let us know if that helps.

Re: Sliding Time/Scale Pitch result sounds strange
I gave Clayton a bugzilla account. I might install Ubuntu on my 64-bit Win 7 machine in the near future, just to see how much it annoys me. Clayton, I think your Time Scale improvements were discussed on -devel, but it may be a good idea to refresh your patch to make sure it still compiles against H...
