Re: Sliding Time/Scale Pitch result sounds strange

And thanks guys for the hard work fixing this Are you able to confirm the patch fixes the strange-sounding results on the material you work with? I wasn't clear from what you said. I was referring to the effort and expressing my trust that the patch will fix my problem. The current version in the &...

Re: dither on export (bug 22)

The samples test as sequential half-integer values. Example output from 4min into the track : 548848.00 548848.25 548848.50 548848.75 548849.00 7) Export the track from test 6 as 24 bit with dither = none. I would have expected integer results rounded to the nearest value but we actually get rounde...

Re: dither on export (bug 22)

From ImportPCM.cpp: // In general, go with the user's preferences. However, if // the file is higher-quality, go with a format which preserves // the quality of the original file. if (mFormat != floatSample && sf_subtype_more_than_16_bits(mInfo.format)) mFormat = floatSample; It looks like ...

Re: Shaped files distorting/warping

I think this is is probably fixed as of the 27th February, thanks to everyone who tested. @Blerb, if you want to test, you can download: http://audacity.googlecode.com/files/audacity-win-2.0rc5.exe or if you prefer a zip file that does not have to be installed: http://audacity.googlecode.com/files/a...

Re: Sliding Time/Scale Pitch result sounds strange

I just posted to bugzilla a url to a simple patch which adds a preview button. The preview button is present when building with this patch, but it does not preview the effect it just plays the unprocessed audio (tested on Debian Squeeze). On Windows it appears to preview the last processed audio (o...

Re: Windows Media pLayer in vista won't load my saved AUDACI

I have successfully downloaded and installed AUDACITY 1.3.13-beta(Unicode), and recorded a casstte track, which plays fine through the pc speakers. I have also saved it in audacity as an .aup (project). I have followed the instructions to export it to my music folder as type WAV (Microsoft) signed ...

Re: Sliding Time/Scale Pitch result sounds strange

Thanks, Gale. I have made more optimizations since the last patch. Shall I include these? One other thing: the current version introduces an annoying audible discontinuity at the onset of the processed selection, which probably discourages use. I feel this might merit a bug, if for no other reason ...

Re: dither on export (bug 22)

What does "32 (24)" mean? Based on our limited tests it seems that 24-bit PCM files are always imported as 32-bit float regardless of the quality setting. Yes. The table is not from the source code but one I made by testing a while ago. "(24)" in "32 (24)" means that 2...

Re: Probleme export AIFF et WAV

If you see the "libsndfile says" error with nonsense characters, it means there is a problem with the metadata in the file you imported. Click File > Open Metadata Editor, press "Clear" to empty the metadata, then export. ---- Si vous voyez le "libsndfile dit" erreur av...
