Re: Unable to execute file

Neither of those methods work for listening to the recording or even recording any sound, the line is still flat :( If you want to listen while you are recording an LP then Transport > Software Playthrough is the correct choice, however if you are recording silence then software playthrough (which ...

Re: Recovering audio apparently 'lost' via full disk

Could I have done multiple timer records here? ie. One for the pre-game & the actual game, and then another for the post-game? If so, it probably would have only zeroed out the post-game show if there was enough room for the 1st recording. Multi-schedule Timer Records would be a feature request...

Re: Recovering audio apparently 'lost' via full disk

I'm regretting not selecting the option to use it as the default file manager during the setup process. It is probably best to NOT set it as the default file manager. There are some situations where it is a lot more convenient to use the standard file manager, and I guess that is why that option is...

Re: Linear prediction question

If searching around e.g. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linear_predictive_coding doesn't help, you could subscribe to and ask on our developers mailing list. You might get some pointers if the list is quiet.

Re: Error While Opening Sound Device After Upgrade from v1.2

Re: Error While Opening Sound Device After Upgrade from v1.2

Were you on Vista when you had 1.2.6? If yes, I doubt it's a settings problem because 2.0 would take the 1.2 settings where there was a comparable setting. If you are ticking the "Exclusive" boxes in Windows, it's better to choose "DirectSound" host in Audacity then it will commu...

Re: (soft) file associations lost

If you don't, and never have installed Audacity, using "Open With" does not create a permanent file association. The file will open that one time, but to make the file association "stick" Windows tells the user to use "Folder Options control panel" I thought you might ...

Re: Audacity cannot find correct path to file.

I forgot to say that after using Ccleaner on the registry and reinstalling Audacity2 and setting the wav associations, I went into he registry to check what XP had entered and found : HKEY_CLASSES_ROOTApplicationsaudacity.exeshellopencommand was set to "C:Program FilesAudacityaudacity.exe"...
