Re: Exporting Audio Files

If it's a USB turntable, just unplug it from the computer. See http://manual.audacityteam.org/help/man ... k.html#usb .

Hi! I have Windows XP, and when I click to download, everything works fine. Open and Save come up and I can successfully download those... But, nothing ever starts installing. Re: Edit metadata for multiple exported files all at once

1 Choose Edit > Preferences: Import / Export, uncheck "Show Metadata Editor prior to export step", then OK. 2 Choose File > Open Metadata Editor... before exporting and add the tags there that are the same for each song. When you File > Export Multiple the Metadata Editor now won't appear ...

Re: Effects Not Displayed in Drop-down Menu

Glad you are up and running now. It was basically a programmer's error to leave the feature capable of being enabled when it had been removed from the interface. This is now fixed in the source code, so it will be fixed in the next version. No one said audacity.cfg was in the Audacity program folder...

Re: Submit your EQ Curves

After a hard drive crash I find I can no longer get to the EQ list on 1.13.13, probably because of 2.0.0 presence. I've looked for the appropriate folders and etc. but still can't find a way to get the old list. It contains the AES curve which I had been using to convert European record EQ to Ameri...

Re: add build date to log

BUMP - does this need trnsferring to Wiki>Pending Feature Requests? Build date is already added to alphas and is un-necessary for releases. It seems that it isn't possible to programmatically add the svn revision number to About Audacity (and so to the top of the log). So I don't think this is for ...

Re: Label tracks.

Labels can be stuck to the time line (sync-lock off) or stuck to the audio (sync-lock on). IMO, in order to keep this consistent, any time changing effect including generating silence should not move the labels if sync-lock is off. If we were to do that, we'd have to remove the ability to delete au...

Re: Effects Not Displayed in Drop-down Menu

You have CleanSpeech Mode enabled (and 2.0.0 has no way to turn it off in the interface). Exit Audacity and turn it off in the audacity.cfg settings file as described here: http://manual.audacityteam.org/help/manual/man/interface_preferences.html#behaviors . In the next version in the 2.x series, Cl...

Re: Problems With Preferences Libraries

I finally figured out that I had downloaded and tried to install the Mac version of the FFmpeg library. After that, it was easy peasey lemon squeezie. Sorry to have wasted the bandwidth but I'm old enough to admit my mistakes and share them with others in hopes that it will shed some light for them...
