Re: "Change Pitch" also changes tempo?

I tried the latest released SoundTouch 1.6.0 (Audacity still uses 1.3.1) and found the tempo error was worse. Olli suggests compiling the latest snapshot . I see the changelog has "Fix integer overflow error in getLengthMS" and "improved sound quality" so I suppose we should try ...

Re: Buttons all showing as Pause symbol.

Hi Stuart So if you start your .cfg file off as NewPrefsInitialized=1 then launch Audacity you still see all those Pause buttons? Do the buttons remain correct after hovering over them? If so does that that only last for that session? Does the problem correct if you resize the window or use View > T...

Re: How to upgrade to Audacity 2.x

You don't "have" to use Unity on Ubuntu.

On 11.10, open a Terminal:

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get install gnome-session-fallback
Then choose Gnome Classic by clicking the "cog wheel" when you log in.

Re: Can't load Module

I still use Audacity for a final rendering of music I'm posting to music sites, but I'll never install it again. So far, I've installed it five separate times on four machines (Win 7, both 64 and 32 bit, different Windows installs). In each case, they were new installs where I had installed a lot o...

Re: viewing info

To save recording continuously you "could" use Transport > Sound Activated Recording. Use the menu item underneath that one to set the threshold level so that it only records when the reversing horn (or other loud noises) occur. The drawback is that this feature does not yet label start an...

Re: Transport and Meter toolbars dockable in the Mixer Board

Personally I'm in favour of envelopes using linear interpolation whether fader automation is implemented or not. OK I added your vote here (and those of a couple of other people that have asked in the past): http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Feature_Requests#envelope Log/exponential curves may be n...

Re: Transport and Meter toolbars dockable in the Mixer Board

To which I would add: Fader automation. I thought that there was already a feature request on the wiki for that, but I don't see one. Maybe that is because only Bill has actively requested the idea? Does anyone else want to vote for it while this topic is open? In Bill's post here explaining about ...
