Re: Removing multiple labels in Edit Labels
Using 2.0.0 under Windows XP. I'm in Tracks->Edit Labels. If I select more than one label (using Ctrl-Click in Label col) and click Remove, only the first selected label is removed. Thanks, I've corrected the Manual . Edit Labels and labels generally don't support multiple label selection. It's a F...

Re: Clean Speech
If you have run and closed Audacity there will be a file "audacity.cfg" (assuming that Audacity is correctly installed). It may be in a hidden folder and I don't use Macs so I don't know how you will find it - try looking on Google for how to find hidden files and folders on a Mac. No nee...

Re: Trim is greyed out, selections don't stay
Although those Manual instructions assume as Steve says that playback is already stopped, you should when playing be able to click to set the start of a selection, SHIFT-click to set the end of the selection (so drawing the selection) then use SPACE to stop without removing the selection. This assum...

Re: Buttons all showing as Pause symbol.
This possibly points to some conflict between Audacity for Windows and Mac, maybe in video hardware/drivers, maybe requiring that extra code is added to flush out cache or somesuch. Have any of Audacity Team run Audacity for Windows on Boot Camp? The other cases of this problem seem to be native Win...

Re: "Change Pitch" also changes tempo?
Testing the latest snapshot of SoundTouch, I think sound quality has improved somewhat but the length change issues (which I think worry users the most) are not improved. I think it's unfortunate that Audacity tends to carry the blame for these problems. Should we lobby for removal of Change Tempo a...

Re: "Change Pitch" also changes tempo?
Thanks, Edgar. I posted to the -translation list, noting other inconsistencies in passing: http://audacity.238276.n2.nabble.com/Incorrect-German-translation-of-Sliding-Time-Scale-Pitch-Shift-tp7555191.html . If I don't get any answer on the list in due course I will commit the menu and progress dial...

Re: record only 5 seconds / graba 5 segundos y se borra
I have news about all this. I´ve tried to uninstall Audacity and Downloaded again. Nothing had change. Nothing would change. You currently have to exit Audacity and reset the audacity.cfg file using these instructions in order to reset Audacity settings. But then, I´ve tried to open a WAV file. The...

Re: Track Sample Format Changes Upon Save
Did you notice there is no "Clip INFO" tool? Every time we request one, we're told that the information is irrelevant because none of that data is ever carried forward into the final show. Told by whom? Who is "we"? At the moment there are these choices in Feature Requests: File...

Re: Track Sample Format Changes Upon Save
The sample format indicated on the Track Control Panel is not the actual sample format of the file. It indicates the resolution at which Audacity imports the file into a project. OGG can only be represented by Audacity as 16-bit when imported. Once imported as lossless PCM audio (similar to WAV), th...

Re: Envelope for simple fade, seems too hard
IIRC the devs have said that enhancement requests on bugzilla for things like this are not appropriate. I don't entirely agree with that line. If I felt that an existing (or non-existent) Proposal needed pushing and that putting it on Bugzilla assisted that, I would put it on. I agree that detailed...
