Re: Removing multiple labels in Edit Labels
I didn't even know I had voting rights! Anyone can vote for a new or enhanced feature by posting to the Adding Features to Audacity Board. You can vote directly on Wiki Feature Requests but this requires a Wiki account and it isn't easy to edit the Feature Requests page unless you know exactly what...

Re: Sound Finder / Silence Finder improvements
I agree with what I take as your comment here that we don't need two Sound Finders. I have never liked the similarity of Silence Finder and Sound Finder, and suspect that few novices use Sound Finder given most documentation bundled with turntables and cassette decks will only mention Silence Finde...

Re: Sound/Silence Finder enhancements
When there is a long trailing silence, SilenceFinder adds a label after the final sound. The position of this final label looks odd to me as all of the other labels are relative to the end of the silence, but this one is relative to the beginning of the silence :? Yes, but that label is different a...

Re: Removing multiple labels in Edit Labels
Multiple (sequential) labels can be removed from the label track by selecting the labels (in the label track) and using "Split Delete" - "Edit menu > Remove Audio > Split Delete" (shortcut Ctrl+Alt+K ) True, but that's just selecting a region *over* the labels. If you do that (w...

Re: Waveform/Spectrogram background
Enabling users to change the waveform or spectogram background would indeed be very useful! I'll add a couple of votes to our Feature Request system. Note that you can change the waveform colours including the background now, if you download one of the theme images from http://jcsu.jesus.cam.ac.uk/...

Re: recording broken into equal little files
You saved an .aup Audacity project. Open the .aup file to open the project. The easiest way to do that is use File > Recent Files.

Re: Sound Finder / Silence Finder improvements
Following on from the idea of retaining the simple versions I've expanded the functionality of the "Advanced" Sound Finder. Could be pushing it as I would prefer on balance not to retain a "simple" sound finder in Audacity. 2) "Group Sounds". This is a renaming of &quo...

Re: Sound Finder / Silence Finder improvements
I have a feeling that a "region labels for silences" option would be more useful in Silence Finder than Sound Finder (even at the risk of slightly complicating Silence Finder). I think it would be easier to understand than having a "Simple Silence and Sound Finder" that had poin...

Group Controls into sections.
In longer plug-ins it would aid understanding and reduce the "intimidatory" effect if controls could be logically grouped into "panels" like the "static boxes" in built-in effects.

Re: record only 5 seconds / graba 5 segundos[SOLUCIONADO]
I am glad you can record again without saving a project. Your temporary folder location was set to C:Program Files (x86)Audacity 1.1audacity_temp but Audacity could not write there. This may be because you were not logged in as an administrator which is usually required to modify Program Files folde...
