Re: Suppress echo effect ?
Generally, you don't, because it is hard to do. If you want to try it in Audacity you can try centre isolation in Audacity's Vocal Reduction and Isolation effect, or try Noise Reduction using a small area of reverb only as the Noise Profile. Beyond that, it usually means spending money on a commerci...

Re: Metadata editor puts Album Artist data in wrong field
Windows 7, Audacity 2.1.2 When exporting a track to .mp3 the data manually entered in the metadata editor for Album Artist ends up tagged Contributing Artist and causes the Album Artist's name not to appear in Windows Media Player nor in our broadcast streaming system. The only way I could find to ...

Re: 'Pop' noise when looping
I don't know if there are other applications than Twine that you could use. Can it use two files for the wind noise and mix them together? You would have to have each file about half as loud as now, but if the files were of different lengths then when one file came to loop, the other file would be m...

Re: absolute time of recording
Is there a new time window on the bottom that reads forward from that tagged time? Ver 2.1.4? Where does it get the time from and can I set it? It's in Recording Preferences . It will be in 2.1.3 when released. It gets system date and time and writes it in ISO format (file name safe, not configurab...

Re: Trying to record system audio
I merged your new topic on the same subject into this one. Please stay in this topic or it gets too confusing for everyone. Will Soundflower also record audio in headphones? I'm trying to record a Skype audio call. Using external mic to record my audio, but it wasn't picking up Audi from skype being...

It would help if you could state exactly what inputs you have connected to the mixer and what exactly the problem is.

Re: 'Pop' noise when looping
This is the second time I've been told using WAV will fix the issue, and it's the second time I've explained I've tried WAV and it made no difference. At the same time, I see above [EDIT] Okay, tried it with a silent WAV track and there's no noise at the loop. Which is correct? Can you not carefull...

Re: Audacity Recording Audio Out When I'm Wearing Headphones
Certainly not an Audacity issue. I suggest you look at the routing of the audio out ports in your sound card control panel, look at the headphones settings in Windows Sound, or try another output port. The built in computer mic input is only meant for dynamic unpowered mics of course. If you have m...
