Re: Unable to read "moving" tool-tip
May I report this as a bug? Thanks, it is logged here already: http://bugzilla.audacityteam.org/show_bug.cgi?id=518 . You can double-click on the slider knob to show a text box displaying the slider value. I think it would be better simply to show the slider value in the hover tooltip (possibly wit...

Re: mp3 export makes file longer?!
Thanks for that. I was using an Audacity v1, so didn't see those options! I've now upgraded to v2 and stored the mp3 as a smaller file. In fact it's smaller than I calculated it should be by making the song play time 10% shorter - perhaps it has lost quality? All MP3 exports are lossy, even if the ...

Re: Any plans for GSOC in the future?
Audacity was a part of the Google Summer of Code in 2008 and 2009, but hasn't participated since. The wiki page of Feature Requests has an almost overwhelming number of desired improvements to Audacity. I was wondering if anyone knew why Audacity is not availing itself of the help that they could g...

Re: PPA for the latest stable version?
Audacity does not supply installation packages either for builds at release time, or for builds from HEAD between releases. Any such packages are supplied by your distribution. Also please note there are no "stable" or "beta" designations for Audacity releases any longer. The rel...

Re: Audacity is unusable under RTL locale Hebrew, Arabic, Fa
Thanks, we know and discussed it recently at http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic ... 65#p177165 .
We don't have any solutions if you run a RTL system language.
One of the Audacity developers has become interested in this issue recently and might possibly look into it.

Re: Various Issues with Audacity 2.x
Start-up is slower than in 1.2. Audacity is looking for, and if found, loading LAME and FFmpeg. See Help > Show Log... . If your computer is "practically frozen" during Audacity launch, what are the computer specifications for RAM and speed (MHz)? Almost each time Audacity starts, it also ...

Re: [help] Fix a Mp3 File! I beg you guys!
If you made the WAV from the MP3 that you posted, there would be no point. If you think there is some chance the WAV could be corrupted but not empty, yes you can post a link to it.Caixa wrote:gale, i have it in wav.
Could i post it ?

Re: Sound/Silence Finder enhancements
Just a thought, but if we have a "Silence Marker" that always marks within detected silences, how about if the label placement (currently set at x seconds before the end of the silence) was set as a percentage of the silence? Thus, 50% = middle of the silence, 10% = near the start of the ...

It's just 2.1 MB of zero values. Completely unrecoverable I am afraid.
