Re: Audacity Recording Freeze at 38m 47.5s: Win7
Dennis, Thanks for the extra information about crashes on XP at 16 MB Minimum. Brilliant because now you are also able to generate a crash which should be repeatable. Certainly not repeatable, in fact that was and sill is the only crash I have ever had with Audio Cache. After that, Audacity started ...

Re: audacity 2.0
The sound card is Sound Blaster Live! Model No. SB0100 from Creative Labs. If your Sound Blaster drivers crash XP you may have to look around for drivers on the internet, but be very careful (and don't pay any money or install software that says it will detect what you need). It is possible that as...

Re: Audacity Recording Freeze at 38m 47.5s: Win7
Can I suggest you use Microsoft's 'Process Monitor' for RAM usage. In the listing you can select Audacity and then right click for 'Properties' and see the RAM Audacity, or any other process, is using; very neat. @Gale: I don't see that - where are you looking exactly? Download Process Monitor from...

Just to add, the Audio Cache Preference has now been removed for 2.0.2, though not any of the audio IO code it uses.

Yes it can open and save WAV files. I tried it with your example crash file.mdubin wrote:There is very little information on the BestPractice webpage. While it allows reading directly from CD, does it allow saving to WAV?

Re: How do I record a mono signal to the left and right chan
I misunderstood; I added the left track to the right on the second pass. Can you explain how I “split the stereo track, discarding the empty right channel and defining the remaining left channel as mono instead of left.” Just use the Track Drop-Down Menu to "Split Stereo to Mono", then cl...

Re: How do I get English language version?
Please could someone help? I am living in Mexico, and I am trying to install the English version. I go for the English option in sourceforge and when I install I get a Spanish version. I go to the edit tab, and there is no "interface" option on the left hand side list. I am using WIndows ...
