Re: Exporting music to CD burning softward
You got specific links to Audacity Wiki from Admin and others so you still weren't able to understand the problem. I think the problem all along has been Windows Media Player. If joanh drags the WAV icon into the Media Player playlist then from there into the burn list, it should work, as was said ...

Re: Error on sliding time scale/pitch shift
Yes I saw it, and re-opened the bug. And someone else on XP e-mailed to report similar behaviour.
But unless Clayton can find a copy of XP, or you can install Visual Studio and run a debug version of Audacity from it, it may be hard to find the cause of the problem.

Re: Audacity 2.x - More Resource Intensive?
" If it can't then you need to find the problem on the system." So I guessed. Now, as to just HOW to find the problem? Any ideas? Process of elimination. Try all the ideas here: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Managing_Computer_Resources_and_Drivers . You could even try Audacity's Audio...

Re: Audacity can't start with audiophile usb sound card
Just to note (from off Forum e-mail) that the Audacity package version is 2.0 and the tarball is 2.0.1. Do any other audio programs work with this m-audio sound card? What drivers are you using for it? It could be that libasound is the problem - other audio programs may not need it. It is not normal...

Re: Audacity sucking up all available CPU time
I am using 1.3.13 as downloaded. I did not build anything. The machine runs XP 2002 SP2. It's a Dell Dimension 4500 with a 2 GHz P4 CPU. Although the sound device information can be listed and selected in the Audacity Help tab it cannot be copied. No context menu appears using the right mouse butto...

Re: Audacity sucking up all available CPU time
I greatly doubt that I posted to General Audio Programming. For what it's worth you posted to "General Feedback and Discussion", according to the logs. That board does ask users to post to the board for their OS, but to make it clear, I have changed it so that it also asks users to do tha...

Re: Audacity sucking up all available CPU time
Once again I will suggest that you did not read my original message nor my reply to yours carefully enough to understand it. Once again: the problem I described that occurs from time to time with a 1.3 beta version has NOTHING AT ALL TO DO WITH THE MACHINE on which I record telephone conversations ...

Re: Audacity sucking up all available CPU time
Where did I post? I think it was in "General Audio Programming". Unfortunately that lacks our usual notice for the non-OS boards: If you require help using Audacity, please post on the forum board relevant to your operating system. Windows Mac OS X GNU/Linux and Unix-like but we'll correc...

Re: New/improved plug-ins for potential inclusion in Audacit
With Edgar's help we're trying to document how to use the shipped Vocoder and again coming across the obvious problem that there are mind-boggling steps needed if you want to work with stereo modulators or stereo carriers. I'm not happy if Edgar feels the incorrect effect of his is being shipped wit...

Re: Audacity sucking up all available CPU time
Moved to the correct Windows 1.3 Legacy board (guessing from such information as you provide). I have no idea what you mean by "KSpS" - do you mean kHz? I suggest you upgrade to 2.x. We do not support 1.3.x any longer. You should update Firefox too, and in the "General" options, ...
