Re: First Time User Help

If you saved an Audacity project (.aup), open the .aup file from File > Recent Files or File > Open... See http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/fa ... l#aufolder .

Then to use the recording in other programs on your computer, use File > Export.

Re: How to dynamically mod vol of one track to match another

There is no plug-in other than David Sky's. David is no longer with us but if you want that rectimod plug-in I can upload it somewhere. From my reading, the instructions on http://forum.audacityteam.org/viewtopic.php?p=54346#p54346 were at least partially working for stereo track and stereo control ...

If you are recording with Transport > Software Playthrough checked, try unchecking it.

Re: Crackling and popping on recordings

You posted in the 1.3 Legacy board. What version of Windows? If you are on Windows 98 or ME you should use Audacity 2.0.0. If you are on later Windows than that, use 2.0.1. What computer playback exactly are you recording? YouTube? Internet Radio? With what web browser? Is that web browser up-to-dat...

Re: output level as reflected in wav form

The red lines always indicate clipping. However if you are not zoomed in enough and there are only a few samples clipped amongst quieter surrounding audio, then the level displayed in the waveform in the vicinity of the clip area may still appear to be well below than the clipping level. If the clip...

Re: Want to stop Automap scan with Audacity

If you have moved to Mac since your last post, Audacity supports VST, AU (see http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/effect_menu.html#VST_Effects for both VST and AU), Nyquist and LADSPA. Audacity's VST scans should only take place when requested (after the first time Audacity scans for them). AU's ar...

Re: Doing the very same edits on several files

You could import the files into one project, make the deletions then File > Export Multiple, but how many GB of disk space have you got? Just importing th...
