Re: Exported audio format the same for WAV and -stdin?
I've been trying to export audio (44100,32f,2 > 44100,16,2), using the external program command-line, to WavPack (wavpack.exe) and TAK (takc.exe), but I'm constantly being told unsupported .WAV format! (WavPack) and Audio format not supported (TAK). Exporting to FLAC (internal ffmpeg) and MP3 (exte...

Re: Doing the very same edits on several files
It is possible to create an envelope -template-track to silence the same regions in each show using " auto duck ", then follow auto-duck with " truncate silence " to remove the silenced regions. How will Audacity automatically import the control track along with each file? To ap...

Re: Deleting one channel
I have a situation where I would like to delete the right channel of a stereo recording only and then convert the stereo recording to single channel mono. It is a mono recording anyway so I don't need stereo but I want to delete the right channel because there is nothing but harmonic feedback on it...

Re: output level as reflected in wav form
To repeat, View > Show Clipping always shows clipping. It shows every single audio sample that is clipped (not by replacing the blue sample dot, but by adding a red vertical line at that point). If you are zoomed out, you cannot trust the blue waveform to denote clipping if that clipping is just a f...

Great! It sounds hopeful so far. Thanks to Clayton for working on this.mdubin wrote:I did four sliding time scale/pitch shift processes just now and none of them crashed. I'll continue testing all week and report back here.

Re: Automated detach for silence works but not export
Use Analyze > Silence Finder instead of "Detach at Silences". Silence Finder will label the silences, then you can use Export Multiple.

Re: Exporting song titles in one file
I don't know how to keep the labels or the metadata of each title when I export as one long file, ie, the complete CD/LP as one continuous file. The labels don't carry over, so the only info that shows when I play the Mp3 back on a player is what I've entered in Audacity's Metadata Editor....not th...
