Re: Error on sliding time scale/pitch shift
Just did two tests with bug_557p3. The first one was successful with no quality issues. But the 2nd one crashed, and this time, it was not at the end but shortly after starting the process. OK, thanks for letting us know. Can you do your next two tests with "audacity_bug_557_revert_11858p1.exe...

Re: Recording device USB Audio controll
In checking the control panel I don't see one that says sound and audio controll devices. On Windows 7 its called "Sound": http://wiki.audacityteam.org/index.php?title=Mixer_Toolbar_Issues#vistacp . A USB microphone cannot be used for computer playback, unless it is a headset (microphone ...

Re: Sound help for church.
Also see http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Recording_Church_Services http://lvcog7.org/rs/tutorials/Recording_Church_Services.html The second link suggests using online services for streaming, but the ones mentioned seem to be video and audio. You can use VLC/VLS as a standalone streaming solution -...

Re: Timer recording of Audacity 2.0.1
I have been really struggling with this problem as well Thanks for your input. The problem should be fixed in 2.0.2 in so far as once you change the date with the calendar the timer and date controls should still work in synchronisation. You still cannot set End Date to tomorrow using the Calendar ...

Re: wav won't export to WMP
at one time as soon as I exported as a wav the song automatically went to WMP. I assume you mean that the song appeared in the WMP library. Why not simply export to the "Music" library in the "Libraries" folder? Click in the "Save in" box when you export to see "L...

Re: Recording stops, happens with cracks and hiccups,
So what project rate are you using now? It ought to work OK at 44100 Hz or 48000 Hz. I connected the truntable directly to the audio line in and connected hardware ground of turntable and PC to remove noise. Do you mean without using the USB pre-amp? The USB pre-amp will presumably provide RIAA equa...

Re: cannot start audacity as normal user, other audio apps w
You could ask on the ArchLinux forums and/or compile Audacity from the source tarball ( http://audacityteam.org/download/source ) or latest development code ( http://audacityteam.org/community/developers#svn ) . Try quitting JACK before using Audacity just to see if that is anything to do with the i...

Re: problems with 2.x
Try looking in Windows Task Manager at how many other programs and processes are running, how much CPU they are using, and whether you can change the priority of some programs or close un-necessary ones. If you are recording from Firefox, close all the tabs except the one in use then restart Firefox...

Re: A problem with microphone recording
Still I'd like to record Fraps+Audacity if it is possible I would still set Fraps not to record the mic if you have not already tried that. Maybe to record both mic and computer playback it has to mess with the normal audio setup. If either program can record the mic in one channel and the computer...
