Re: Waves plugins on Audacity 2.x

Waves v7 and higher Audio Unit plug-ins don't work with Audacity on Mac, so VST versions may not work with Audacity on Windows. Does plugins.cfg in your Audacity folder for application data list the Waves plug-ins? If not, Audacity has probably scanned them and decided they are incompatible. Gale

Re: Audacity Freezes upon loading

If the entire computer freezes, it is probably a problem with your sound device. You can probably prove that by starting Windows in Safe Mode ( http://windows.microsoft.com/is-IS/windows7/Start-your-computer-in-safe-mode ) then launching Audacity. In Safe Mode, Windows does not start the audio servi...

Re: Error on sliding time scale/pitch shift

Clayton has made a fix "bug_557_p4" that retains the fixes in "bug_557p3" for the crash at end of processing, but attempts to fix the new crash at the start. Could you download that and try it: http://gaclrecords.org.uk/bugs/audacity_bug_557_p4.zip ? If it crashes, then please te...

Re: Handle error

Annoying bug tho. Audio Cache is mainly intended to be turned on for recording when your Audacity temporary folder is on a slow drive, and then turned off until you record again. The feature does have bugs and it will not be in 2.0.2 or subsequent releases until we can fix it so that it behaves as ...

Re: File Export to WAV with Time Track 30x slower than witho

A "Ruler" feature most definitely gets my vote! All I want is the timeline marks in a track that I can keep dragging down the window as I add and work on each new addition to the soundtrack project. OK then. Personally I would prefer a ruler overlay for all the tracks that I could turn on...

Re: "FFmpeg_v0.6.2_for_Audacity_on_Windows.exe"

I cleared the cache and downloaded the .zip version. When I click on the .exe file, a blank black dialogue box flashes on and off? The zip has no exe. You would just extract the files if you used the zip. I put the FFmpeg files I extracted into the Audacity folder and tried removing vocals. Wound u...

Re: Cannot move ahead while playing

If I play an audio, and then try to scroll horizontally, audacity will not let me. For example if a have a 3 hour clip and started playing at the beginning, I should be able to keep listening, but scroll all the way to the end to see the graph. Then, if I just click on the graph, audacity keeps pla...

Re: Audacity Stopped Responding doing Timeshift under SyncLo

Thanks for reporting the possible problem. I cannot reproduce a problem where one group of five sync-locked tracks and a label track does not time shift and other groups shift (nor do I see a crash dragging a group towards zero). The fact that you could not drag a group suggests something is wrong. ...

Re: Handle error

If you have checked "Audio Cache (Play and/or record using RAM)" in Directories Preferences, uncheck it and click OK.
