Re: input device cannot be selected under JAck
Thanks, Steve. I added a note about having to pre-configure the system device to http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Linux_Issues#JACK .

Re: SyncLock Tracks - the biggest mystery of them all!
I also found a repeatable crash in a project I set up to look at this, though it seems to require selecting over the clips (as described above) then sync-lock dragging a clip into another track before dragging all the clips to zero. If you see a similar crash again and the steps are different, plea...

Re: opening very long files
Thanks for responding Gale. I used FormatFactory . I'm pretty much new to this, but am learning, and understanding alot. is there anyway to brake the audio ( approx. 15.6gb ) into smaller files without audacity, or is there a way with aud.? can another format be used? If I had to do what you wanted...

Re: Marqueur de sélection et version 2.0.1
Maybe I don't understand what you want to do. I thought you want to delete some audio, then have the labels in the label track move left, so they are still in the same place in relation to the remaining audio. In this case, you have to select the audio you want to cut in the label track as well as i...

@Peter (PGA) - I deleted your post as requested where the quote added "word rejected". How did you add the quote? It looked as if that message just became corrupted somehow.

Re: Edit track containing 2 superimposed recordings
My Operating System is Windows 7 x 64 I am trying to edit a hypnotherapy recording that I just bought. When I imported the track into Audacity, two lines of audio appear, indicating that the hypnotherapy session consists of 2 recordings superimposed on top of one another. In other words, it is a st...

Re: Cannot save projects?
We'll add your vote to restore the Audio Cache feature when it is crash proof. It is not safe now, as you found out.

Re: lost music
When I opened Audacity again there was a message asking me if I wnted to recover my projesct. I clicked yes and got my music back. I'm glad you got your music back, but your description now sounds as if Audacity just closed without warning when you did something on the keyboard. Definitely you you ...

Re: Error while writing WAV (Micorsoft) file (disk full?). L
The "Libsndfile says" issue is due to unusual order of the metadata in an imported file. It is already fixed in the current 2.0.1 version, so if you upgrade ( http://audacityteam.org/download/windows ) the problem should not occur again. To fix the problem now, choose File > Open Metadata ...
