Maybe it is a problem with the 2.0.1 package by Linux Mint, if you are using that.
Please try compiling the 2.0.2rc3 release tarball instead:

Re: SyncLock Tracks - the biggest mystery of them all!
IMO, selecting over the clips is a much easier way for user to understand the workaround for dragging all clips in a sync-locked groups... Could you please clarify what you mean by "selecting over the clips"? Do you mean doing a dragged selection where the drag has travelled both horizont...

Re: Muted/Soloed track plays in Audacity but is not in MP3
The Audacity documentation currently states that Mute tracks are not exported and that Solo takes precedence over Mute. As has been demonstrated, that latter statement is overly simplistic. Mute still takes precedence over Solo when exporting a mix, if both buttons have been pressed. The Manual say...

Re: Sliding Time/Scale Pitch result sounds strange (SOLVED)
On Ubuntu 64-bit I have tested HEAD at r11927 (same code as 2.0.2rc3) using the demo file and other sound files, and find no issue.
If you have issues with the sound quality in 2.0.2rc3, please be specific, giving the exact settings used in Time Scale and supplying a demo file.
Thanks

Re: Cannot save projects?
Haha thanks! I'll try that when it comes out... Is a 2GB RAM Disk good enough for a 2h lecture? See the green box on this page for how much space is required to record in different quality settings: http://wiki.audacityteam.org/wiki/Recording_length#Increasing_disk_space_for_longer_recordings There...

Re: Sliding Time/Scale Pitch result sounds strange (SOLVED)
:-) All but fixed means: No fixie whatsoever. Still the non-usable noise when applying Sliding Time/Scale Pitch on 64-bit machine as described in the first post of this thread. Too bad it missed the QA check for 2.0.1 :( It did not "miss the QA check for 2.0.1". You yourself confirmed the...

I certainly don't think it should be the default.Big Kev wrote:As I suggested - the output is the most important part of the mixing operation and maybe should always be the sound that you are listening too?

I would ask on the Linux Mint forums about specific driver support for your particular Sound Blaster model .

Re: Audacity Freezes upon loading
The sound device drivers have to be made by the computer or motherboard manufacturer, not by Microsoft. If you are sure the sound device drivers are correct, use WhoCrashed to look at the memory dump as suggested.
